A Look Back: 2011-2015 Education and Workforce Development Accomplishments Blue Ribbon Task Force developed strategic plan to enhance workforce readiness Carroll County joined Harvard University’s Pathways to Prosperity project connecting employers and educators to help high school students find routes into the labor market First-ever Great Promise Marquee Community awarded to Carroll County in recognition of outstanding partnerships to enhance workforce readiness An integrated Education Collaborative was established including post-secondary education heads, public and private school leadership, and the Chamber to enhance workforce preparedness “Carroll County has a strong community comprised of local businesses, government and educators working together to understand the requirements of tomorrow’s workforce to begin preparing them today. These relationships in Carroll County have drawn the attention of businesses like Sugar Foods Corporation. We have benefited from the Work Based Learning Program in creating a career pathway for students and quite possibly our future workforce.
