ONLINE LEARNING COURSES - LEARN FROM YOUR HOME! Many learners are keen to spend less time in the classroom and more time studying independently, at a time and in a place to suit them. Our courses can be worked through on almost any device (excluding mobile phones) - all you need is an internet connection. Once you have enrolled, you will receive a start-up email with a password; you can then learn at your own pace and improve your employment prospects. (Course durations range from 1 hour to about 8 hours). Using Highfield e-learning as part of a blended learning programme can mean you can achieve a recognised qualification. This can be done by sitting an examination at a recognised Highfield Qualifications approved centre. POOL LIFEGUARD AWARD The HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding is an accredited qualification is valid for two years and is of equal standing to other Pool Lifeguard qualifications. Candidates can keep up to date with regular on-going training, it provides the necessary skills and knowledge for learners who wish to apply for posts as a pool lifeguard (100% attendance is required). Adult Education Courses 2020/2021 Independent Living Skills We have a range of classes available in our ‘Independent Living Skills’ (ILS) programme for adults with learning disabilities/difficulties. The courses are carefully structured to build confidence and encourage personal and social development. Qualified staff provide a high level of support. • Learners will be assessed prior to commencing courses • Most classes are for 2 hours. • Enrol for a 36 weeks in total. • Gain accreditation. • Meet new people and friends. Class subjects, times, fees and locations are correct at time of going to print. They may vary during the year and are subject to alteration without prior notice. Places are limited in ILS classes.
