ADULT EDUCATION COURSES v Food Services This occupational skills training will prepare individuals to assume roles in the food service
industry such as: waiter/waitress, host/hostess, cafeteria employee, dishwasher/busser, food

This occupational training course will give participants the skills they need (taking orders,

Ground School for This course is designed to help students evaluate the exciting field of aviation as a career or

Main Campus
v Commercial Driver’s CV-TEC’s Class B CDL Program is a 30-hour course leading to a commercial driver’s license
that allows holders to drive certain types of commercial vehicles. The course is designed for
License (CDL) Class B individuals with limited or no experience driving a Class B commercial vehicle. Commercial
CDL-B 100A vehicles that can be operated with a Class B driver’s license include, but are not limited
to, straight trucks, dump trucks, cement trucks, refuse trucks, delivery trucks, tow trucks,
household and commercial moving trucks, grocery delivery trucks, box vans, or large buses.
Having a Class B license permits you to drive a gross vehicle weight of 26,001 pounds or more.
This gross weight limit includes any combination of vehicles and cargo. CV-TEC offers both
Class A and Class B courses annually.
Prerequisites:
A Class B CDL is most popular among truck drivers ages 18 to 21. This is due to the age restriction on interstate truck drivers. If
you are under 21, you cannot carry cargo across state lines on the interstate. You are restricted to a Class B CDL until you turn
21. The ideal route to take if you are under 21 is to get your Class B license and start working as a commercial truck driver.

Welding Challenging adult “Job Upgrade” course designed for participants possessing welding
WLDG 200A experience and who seek to expand their professional expertise by passing an American
Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 structural steel code test. Hands-on, learning opportunities based
on industry partnerships will teach students the essentials of Stick Welding (SMAW), and
welding theory. AWS certification testing will be provided at the end of the course. Students

Phlebotomy Training prepares the learner to perform capillary and venous blood drawings for
the purpose of obtaining blood samples for laboratory analysis. Certification available through
