for your dining and drinking pleasure.
There is a 24-hour fitness center with fitness classes, two pools, a
waterfall. hot tub and in-house spa services are also available.
Conventioneers enjoy a waived resort fee - But NOT waived benefits!
Self-parking is $10 for all conventioneers. Overnight Hyatt Regency
Orlando guests will have in & out privileges.
The hotel is also pet-friendly. Just make arrangements with the hotel
prior to your stay.
Hotel rooms are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Securing and paying for hotel nights is the sole responsibility of the
conventioneer. Convention recommends you check the hotel
website regularly for availability.

17WINTER'S FINEST WORKSHOPS
Our workshops are an opportunity to learn from some of the talented
individuals in our doll community. These volunteers have offered to share
their knowledge with you and give you an opportunity to increase your
skills.
You can register for these workshops beginning on February 11, 2023 at
bconventions.com.
Creating Barbie® Doll Jewelry for You
Description: Let's have fun wearing some of our beautiful Barbie® Doll
jewelry! You will create an adult sized stainless-steel bracelet with charms.
You can also add some of your favorite charms from past conventions.
Instructor: Shirley Nakawatase

Creating Jewelry for Dolls
Description: Learn how to create stunning crystal jewelry for your dolls. You
will learn to work with metal wire, beads and crystals, At the end of the
class, you will go home with a piece worthy to be paired with your most
beautiful doll gown. You will also take home a set of pliers to help you
create additional jewelry for your dolls. Instructor: Monica del Castillo

18COMPETITION RULES
l.AII items require pre-registration.
2. Entries received by May 21. 2023, are discounted to $8.00. Entries received
from May 22 through our final date of June 4, 2023. cost $10.00. Entries can
be made in the 2023 Online Store at bconventions.com.
3. There is a limit of 8 total entries per person and you can only have one entry
per individual category
4.lndividuals, groups, or clubs may enter diorama categories. If a
collaborative entry wins a ribbon/award, only one ribbon will be awarded
for the entry.
5.AII dolls used in your entries must be originally manufactured by Mattel.
6. Entries in vintage doll categories may not include a backdrop.
7.Creative single doll categories may not have a backdrop unless specified.
Where accessories are mandatory, they can be held or attached to the doll.

required, they may be included but must be attached or held by the doll.
8.Diorama dimensions should not exceed 24" wide x 24" deep. There is no
height restriction.
9. Creative entries must be entirely the work of the Conventioneer(s) who
enters them with the exception of props used in dioramas and displays.
10. AII vintage dolls must have sturdy stands and may not have extraneous
accessories, unless the doll or outfit was accompanied by the said accessory
or the category calls for multiple pieces.
11. Electrical outlets many not be available so please bring batteries if needed
for your entry.
12.To ensure security, all dolls, accessories, and props must be entered and
removed by the pre-registered entrants only. Signatures will be required for
drop-off and pickup.
13. Placement of entries is solely at the discretion of the Competition &
Exhibition Co-Chairs and their committee members. We request that
entrants ensure their dolls/accessories are appropriately secured and
positioned. Entries will not be handled once the entrant places them, but
the Competition & Exhibition Co-Chairs may reposition entries if necessary.
Please ensure that your entry is stable and secure.
14.The Convention Committee reserves the right to photograph and display
photographs of competition & exhibition areas and entries. Award winners
will be announced at one of the meal functions.

Your twist on Seasons in the City- but pick a city that
hasn't been used before. Outfit can be Mattel
manufactured or hand made. Can use photoshop or
other photo rendering tools.

All artwork must be original - can be
hand drawn or computer generated.

Draw a variety of stickers of at least 2
various sizes depicting some seasonal

Remember that wonderful episode of Life in the Dreamhouse to
celebrate her 60th? Midge™ doll was animated all in black and white
as well as an IRL version designed by Bill Greening. All tones used must
be tones of black, grey and white. You can catch his clip on YouTube.
She can be wearing Friday Night Date or any other vintage
reproduction. Upcycling vintage fashion is allowed so get out your dyes
and paints!

32THE OVER THE RAINBOW RAFFLE
ROOM
Not to be missed is the Over the Rainbow Raffle Room; it will be one of the
highlights of your convention experience! The raffle room will be full of items
that have been generously donated by fellow collectors. our Barbie® doll
community artists and others.

Make sure to buy lots of tickets! Raffle tickets will go on sale on January 4th,
28th,
2023 at Bconventions.com. Early purchases mean more tickets for you! We are
continuing the popular EXTRA BONUS tickets! In addition to having them pre
printed with your name, you will receive a BONUS of 15% Additional Free
Raffle Tickets when you purchase your raffle tickets on or before April 15, 2023.
May 6, 2023 is the last day to pre-purchase tickets.
Help us make the Raffle Room shine. Please consider donating anything that
is pink. Barbie® doll size or Barbie® doll related to the raffle room. Items that
are designed and created by our conventioneers are especially appreciated
and often some of the most popular items.
We also love people sized goodies, home decor and gifts certificates. Anything
and everything can be donated. Donations from individuals, clubs. tablemates
and businesses (doll related or not) are most welcome. Please keep in mind
smaller donations may be combined to create ultimate gift baskets. Raffle
donations valued at $SO or more will receive a complimentary business card
size ad in our Souvenir Book. If you are interested in taking advantage of this
great advertising opportunity all donation forms. including the business card
size ad. must be received by April 15, 2023. Ad specifications can be found on
page 46 of this registration book.

39There will be a private group created just for table hosts via Facebook.
The Host Chairs will monitor the group and get you added to it. This will
be used to pass on any important information from the convention
group, and for you to get to know your fellow table hosts, ask questions,
give answers, and share experiences. Please note on the application
form whether or not you have a Facebook account so the Host Chairs
will know to get any important info to you by email if you do not.
There is one host per table throughout the convention. If you choose to
have a "co-host", only one person will be acknowledged as the official
host.
You may opt to sign up for your table and tablemates in advance of the
convention. This option presents the opportunity for tablemates to get
to know each other in advan ce. Individuals may choose to wait until
arrival to the convention before signing up for a table. Either way, you'll
have a great time!

42PRE-ORDER OFFICIAL CONVENTION SOUVENIRS
The official Convention souvenirs have been designed with the collector
in mind, and they're incredible this year. We have things that have never
been offered before to conventioneers, and items that will never be
available after this convention. The only way to assure yourself that you
will have all the souvenir items you desire is to pre-order them in the
quantity and size that you want. AND you'll save at least 10% on all
souvenirs if you preorder them before April 1st, 2023. The souvenir shop
is always a popular stop for conventioneers. You'll avoid
disappointment (and long lines) if you pre-order. The wide variety of
products offered means that there's something for everyone, and many
things no serious Barbie® Doll collector can live without. All the
souvenirs are being made in limited quantities and may sell out during
the pre-order period. Items from the souvenir shop also make great
birthday, holiday or table gifts for your favorite Barbie® doll friends, and

The convention salesroom is the largest single grouping of Barbie® doll
related merchandise available each year. There will be Barbie® doll
items for every budget. You'll see Barbie® doll related items including
jewelry, furniture, and clothing both for your dolls and for you. You'll see
virtually every new and recently released Barbie®
doll at all price points, as well as vintage items. Doll
artists, designers, home seamstresses, and tailors will
have their incredible work available for sale. From
the largest doll dealers in the country to individuals
thinning out their collections, you can literally shop
the salesroom for hours on end.

Hard copy ads are accepted but must be 100% camera-ready. There is an
additional $5 charge for the scanning and optimization for digital printing.
Please leave 1/4" bleed dimensions for all ads. If requested. we can create your
ad of 50 words or less for a $20 fee.

the Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention. Dealers. collectors. and artists
