Booking Information & Guidelines Dear Partner, ‘ECR in motion’ is the motto for our continuous search for improvement and innovation. It is our byword for positive changes and new ideas. Guided by this principle, the scientific programme of the European Congress of Radiology and its content undergo some modulation every year. For ECR 2014, these adjustments will lead to the adaptation of several of our long-term industry favourites. WHAT IS NEW »» INDUSTRY HANDS-ON WORKSHOP The ECR 2014 Programme Planning Committee has decided to discontinue the Update Your Skills Workshops and instead offer our industry partners the opportunity to have their own standalone practical sessions, without forcing com- petitors into direct competition with each other. Bring your latest product and teach your current and prospective clients how to handle it in an interactive session. Whatever device you would like to promote, even including products that need strict security, we will find an appropriate location within the Austria Center Vienna. »» MULTIMEDIA CLASSROOM The Workstation Face-Off Session has ceased to exist. The aim of this session was to simulate a realistic reading room atmosphere and to give an impression of how different workstations perform in a clinical scenario. Under the patronage of Prof. Emanuele Neri, a leading italian radiologist, ECR 2014 will start a new feature: the Multimedia Classroom. This learning centre will provide a venue for direct training on 30 to 50 workstations from different vendors, allowing the attendees to interpret cases of CT coro- nary angiography, CT colonography, as well as oncologic and emergency CT imaging. Be part of this new project by supplying workstations including the latest software. WHAT REMAINS »» INDUSTRY SOFTWARE DEMONSTRATION WORKSHOP If you feel strongly about offering computer software training to our partici- pants but would like to do this in a closed-off area, there is ample opportunity to do so in the form of an Industry Software Demonstration Workshop. This will strengthen the relationship with your present or future customers and create an add-on to your performance in the industrial exhibition. Booking Information & Guidelines Multimedia Classroom Coordinators: Emanuele Neri (Pisa/IT) and Daniele Regge (Candiolo/IT) Topic: Computer Applications Joint Initiative of the ECR 2014 and the European Society for the Promotion of Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (EuroPACS) Introduction: The ”Multimedia Classroom“ will represent one of the novelties of the Computer Applications track at ECR 2014. The project arises from the success of the “Aula multimediale” of the Italian Congress of Radiology in 2012. In a dedicated room of the ECR 2014, 50 workstations of the leading manufacturers on image processing/visualization and PACS will be set up. Each company will be asked to participate with a minimum of 5 workstations with software packages for image processing in CT Angiography (coronaries and aorta), CT Colonography, and Quantitative Imaging in Oncology. For each topic 5 cases (CT data in DICOM format) will be pre-loaded on the workstations. The cases will be used for hands-on workshops, lasting 90 minutes each, during which 3-4 cases will be reviewed at the workstations by the delegates with direct support of tutors (radiologists and software specialists). All cases will also be reviewed in a plenary session. This is how delegates can verify the processing framework and the case diagnosis. Booking Information & Guidelines General Information An appplication will be made to the EACCME® for CME accreditation of the industry workshops. Participation for registered ECR attendees is free of charge. The workshop hosts will rent the room, provide the staff and equipment. Workshops must adhere to the designated days and hours of operation. Registration: Registration for Industry Workshops can either be done online, via the ESR registration system in the MyUserArea at myESR.org, or onsite without pre-registration. The ESR registration system is the only permitted tool for online registration. Tools provided by other companies may not be used. Evaluations: The ESR will collect programme evaluation forms from each session. A survey summary will be sent to each company organising Industry Workshops after the ECR 2014. Promotion: The main goal of Industry Workshops is education. Promotional or commercial activities of any kind must be restricted. The ESR will promote the workshop sessions in: The ECR Preliminary Programme For inclusion of the workshop programme in the ECR 2014 Preliminary Programme, programme details must be submitted to the ESR office by October 11, 2013. The ECR Final Programme For inclusion of the workshop programme in the ECR 2014 Final Programme, programme details must be submitted to the ESR office by December 20, 2013. Please note that the deadline for submitting changes to the programme is January 13, 2014. They are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. However, bookings will only be confirmed after receipt of a deposit of 50% of the total fee, to be paid by July 5 2013, at the latest.
