Our team will be hard at work analyzing and collating our findings for the following weeks. Look out for our published report in June! Read the interim results Healthwatch News Championing your voice We have been listening to you regarding a lack of access to local GP services. We are in the process of writing a report and will be presenting it to commissioners at the end of May and publishing it in June. We have also attended a feedback session with CQC and have voiced your
concerns regarding access to appointments in Slough surgeries. We will Subscribe Past Issues provide an update in our next newsletter and via our social media Translate channels. Make your voice heard There are many ways to reach out to us and make your voice heard, your views can help change services in your community. Choose how you want to tell us your story. Contact us through our website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or call our hub on 0300 0120184. Become a Healthwatch Board Member. We are looking for people with relevant knowledge and experience and a commitment to want to see better outcomes in health and care for the residents of Slough. Find out more. East Berkshire News Children and Young people Innovation fund is open for applications. Supporting local communities to develop local projects that will help support the health and wellbeing of families, parents, children and young people. Individuals, organizations in the voluntary sector and community groups can apply for up to £5,000. Register to attend one of the networking events. May 18th and May 20th. Dyslexia Awareness Workshop: This on-line session aims to provide participants with Dyslexia Awareness Training geared towards Adults in the Workplace. Book your tickets here Sight Loss Training brought to you by Berkshire Vision: Monday 24th of May at 2pm and Tuesday 15th of June at 10am. The training last approximately 45 minutes and is free. Meeting other people with similar experiences can be invaluable. Self-

Translate Special Voices publish new report 122 parents and carers gave their feedback on GP surgeries, NHS 111 services, dental services, and the Salt Hill vaccination in Slough. The 'Special Voices' group is comprised of parents and carers of children, and young people, who require additional needs and support. Click here to read the report. Other News Survey to help understand what young people (age 16-24) think about how best to identify and treat depression. Information gathered will help shape future directions for research and clinical practice. For each survey completed, £2 will be donated to a young people's charity. Fill out the survey here. Covid tests and vaccination COVID-19 self-test kits are available from most pharmacies and online. A video showing how to do a self-test can be found here. New state-of-the-art labs will test the effectiveness of vaccines against new variants. Find out more here Make a difference in your community NHS England and NHS Improvement is recruiting to a range of Patient Public Voice (PPV) partner roles on groups with responsibility for the commissioning of specialised services. Click here for full details of the roles and how to apply. Lockdown rules are easing on Monday 17th of May. This includes the reopening of many non-essential businesses including restaurants, cinemas, theatres and sports stadiums. Most restrictions on meeting outdoors will be lifted, with a total of 30 people able to get together.
