Our Competitions are supported by the Creative Communities Local Funding Scheme, Auckland and the Papakura Local Board. Very many thanks also to all our other sponsors and supporters. Your assistance and encouragement to our competitors is always appreciated. Without sponsorship and the generous grants and donations received, this Festival would not take place. Please note that it costs a minimum of $20 per item to run the Festival. We simply could not ask our competitors for that amount. SPONSORSHIP/DONATIONS - GENERAL INFORMATION All cash/special prizes provided to SAPACS are classed as donations. You will be issued with a receipt and the amount can be claimed as a donation from Inland Revenue with your tax return using the following • Charities number – CC38794 • IRD Donee number – 56-046-429 Sponsor A Class § $12 medals (juniors) § $16 miniature trophy (your name engraved as sponsor on it) – not available for the Tap section § Special Prizes & Trophies. § $30 sponsors a regular senior class for cash prizes. Your sponsorship is acknowledged here in the programme, on the website and also verbally during the Festival whenever possible. All sponsors who contribute $50 or more will receive a “Festival Pass” which gives free admission for Two People to all sessions throughout this year’s Festival. Please enquire at the front desk for your pass if you don’t have one. If you have missed getting your sponsorship into the Programme, we will announce it at the Festival. “Friends of SAPACS” For a minimum $20 donation, your name will have been placed in the front of this programme under our “Friends” list as well as on our website homepage. You will also receive a “Festival Pass” on your first visit to the Festival (enquire at the desk) which gives free admission for One Person to all sessions throughout this year’s Festival. As a “Friend” you may wish to volunteer to assist for a few hours during the Festival. Let us know by phoning Lynda – 09 2385 861. Performance and Audience Protocols during the Festival Mobile phones, watch alarms and other noise-emitting electronic devices must be SWITCHED OFF on total silent mode (i.e. no vibrating alert). All competitors and audience are respectfully reminded that it is unsettling and distracting to have movement in the auditorium/room during an item. No set price. Cash only on the day at the door. There is no eftpos available. Age for groups/troupes taken as at 25 June 2021. 10 Years & Under special class – all competitors MUST be 10 years & Under 12 Years & Under groups - competitors MUST all be 12 Years & under. 13 Years & Over groups - competitors can be younger, but the group must contain one or more members who are 13 Years & over. Special SAPACS Groups Information: Competitors will be permitted to appear twice only in any Group Class e.g. a junior may theoretically appear up to 12 times in total in Classes 283, 284, 285, 286, 287, 288 – but only twice per class. Also: If a studio is entering several groups in any one class, please ensure that at least half the members of a group are different e.g. you can not enter the same or very similar group of dancers twice in any one class. Of course, the same or similar group can dance in different classes e.g. lyrical and jazz, as they have different class numbers. (This ruling keeps the SAPACS dance groups in line with all the music & speech groups which have this rule).
