GENSED - Cha�rman of the Board
Since 2009, as GENSED, we have been operating to bring the
potential of our country to the light by banding together all our
stakeholders operating in the solar energy sector. We bring
together public, bureaucracy and the private sector through
conferences and seminars held in many cities of Anatolia to
create platforms of opinion where the most current issues are
discussed. As GENSED, we are very pleased to take part in Solar Istanbul Solar
Energy Fair, one of these works. Solar Istanbul, which makes a significant
contribution to our country's becoming a new attraction center where domestic
and foreign investors meet in the world, is also be a reflection of the strong bond
between GUNDER, GUYAD and GENSED.

GUYAD - Cha�rman of the Board
Companies investing in renewable energy sources, especially solar
energy for electricity generation in Turkey and all over the world are
brought together on a single platform with GUYAD. We follow the
latest sectoral developments, conduct researches by taking into
account the country's energy policies, technical requirements,
economic developments, international legislations and agreements
on electrical energy and work for the formation of an investment climate in the field
of renewable energy. In this context, we are pleased to support Solar Istanbul to
ensure that renewable energy investments and investors come to their deserved
place in our country, which has a very favorable position in terms of all renewable
energy sources, especially solar energy potentials when compared with EU countries.

GUNDER - Cha�rman of the Board
Since 1992, as GUNDER, the only international and well-established
association of Turkey in the field of solar energy, we work for the
awareness of solar energy and making the applications become
effective. We, as the associations of the sun, GUNDER, GENSED
and GUYAD, are so pleased to contribute to Solar Istanbul and to
announce that we are always with them as the voice of civil society.
We have the necessary legislation, technology and most importantly the common
will to reveal the synergy between solar energy policies and industrial and
employment policies of our country. In this process, we will continue to say “The
Future is the Sun, Let Our Energy Be the Sun” with the support of our activities,
projects and our community.
Solar Istanbul 2021
The price drop in clean energy technologies, the effects of global climate
change and the large employment which is created by the solar energy
industry, plays a very important role in Turkey’s near future. The latest
developments about energy storage systems, digitalization and electric
transportation are on the agenda of Solar Istanbul, which will be held between
22-25 September 2021.
In the international conferences which are organized in parallel with the fair,
experts will share their knowledge and experiences with the visitors. With the
hosted buyer programme which will be organized from target countries, Solar
Istanbul becomes an attraction center of domestic and foreign investors and
it has also a strong cooperation with national and international portals,
associations and magazines operating in the solar energy sector.
Why Solar Energy?
● By 2024, Turkey will be at the 12nd place in the world renewable energy ranking.
Thus, Turkey will be in the top 5 countries which have the most renewable energy
power in Europe.
● In 2023, it is expected that the share of renewable energy sources in electric
production will increase up to 30% and Turkey’s solar energy installed capacity is
expected to reach 5.000 MW.
● In 2026, 60.000 MW installed capacity of solar and wind energy is planned to be
activated and it is estimated that 600 megawatt battery storage system will be
required for this capacity.
● It is expected that the number of electric vehicles in Turkey will increase up to
2.5 million pieces and it will has 1 million charging stations.
● By 2030, the cost of photovoltaic panel production will decrease by 58%. As of
2035, installed capacity of solar photovoltaic systems is expected to take the 1st
place among the sources of electricity generation.
