2023 Preconference Submission Guide All organizers/speakers/presenters must register for the convention at their own expense in order to participate in the preconferece. Registration opens October 12 (no space is held for organizers/speakers/presenters so please be sure to register early). Convention Experience The SPSP Annual Convention preconference formats are in-person and virtual. Please note which preconference you are applying for and the type of format it is. In-Person preconferences for the 2023 Convention will be hosted on February 23, 2023. Virtual preconferences for the 2023 Convention will be hosted on February 22, 2023. There will be no hybrid preconferences. Presentation Types There are three presentation types available for you to participate in as a preconference submission (Poster, Data Blitz/Flash Talk, Single Presenter Talk). Not all preconferences are accepting all forms of presentations. You must submit a form for each one. You can only register/attend one preconference per day. This guide outlines all the necessary information for submitting a Preconference Submission. Your submission must be entered through the portal here. We recommend collecting the below information in order to have all information ready to submit. Preconference submissions will be accepted from September 1st until November 15th 11:59 PM PT. Please select the preconference you are applying to from the dropdown list on the submission portal. 1 Select the presentation preference(s). Happiness and well-being Happiness and well-being are shaped by the broader context and major events. In the Preconference, we plan to have 2 data blitz sessions: 1 on 'Happiness and Well-being in the Context of Current Events' and 1 on 'General Happiness and Well-Being Topics'. Research related to current events (including but not limited to COVID-19, racial justice movement, and Afghanistan crisis) should be submitted to the former, whereas research on topics not immediately related to current events should be submitted to the latter. We conceptualize diversity broadly, including (but not limited to) racial or ethnic identity, sexual orientation, disability, immigration status, low income background, and first- generation-student status.
