The Piazza, joins the two halves of the main campus, serving as a social space, bike store, and main thoroughfare between our historic lecture rooms and catering facilities. It is overlooked by the Chapel. The cutting-edge Sports Centre offers high level teaching and training facilities, including a gym open to all students and staff. There is a strong sense of community, when our students walk through the grounds, they will nearly always bump into somebody they know. The space is designed to inspire learning, but also to help you make friends and feel at home – whether you decide to live on campus or not. We have been on this site since 1925, and our buildings have been developed to meet the needs of around 5,000 students. Iconic green spaces Richmond Park and Bushy Park are just around the corner and offer students hundreds of acres of woodland, complete with free-roaming deer, for get-away-from-it-all walks, and space for cycling and running. Even closer to home, you can step out of your lectures and into open green space, as our main campus is set in 10 acres of woodland – the equivalent to about 10 football pitches. Almost half of our students commute to University, so if you decide not to live on campus – you won’t be alone. We have a Commuter Lounge in the middle of campus, with kitchen facilities, lockers and a comfy seating area, 5 mins to give students who don’t live on campus an extra walk from place to meet new people and rest in between lectures. Student Services We offer support and advice to any student who has a query or concern about their experience here.
