M E SSAG E F ROM THE CHA IR Message from the Chair Ben Clyburn, M.D. The Department of Medicine presents the 2022 Virtual Awards Ceremony which recognizes our exceptional faculty, trainees, administrative leadership, and staff for their outstanding achievements in education, patient care, and research during the past year. I always look forward to this particular event as it is an exciting time to acknowledge well-deserving individuals within our department and to bring visibility to their distinguished work. This year, we will be presenting awards to recognize excellence in research and scholarly activity, in addition to our traditional awards honoring outstanding achievements in patient care and education. We will also be presenting our Employee of the Year and Medicine Excellence Awards at the ceremony. On behalf of the department, please accept my congratulations and warmest gratitude to the recipients of this year’s awards.
