EDITORIAL Chancen nutzen – Adapt to Lead Everything remains different: that is an important insight in the run-up to this year's International Supply Chain Conference. We are really looking forward to welcoming you in person in Berlin, as well as online. The #DLK21 is being held as a hybrid event. The digital focus features online streaming of presentations and discussions. This part is free of charge for participants. We will be using a tool that facilitates and promotes personal networking. On the other hand, personal encounters will be at the heart of the physically attended part of the conference. Berlin moments: actually, the same as before, but different of course because this time it’s with "more space" and according to the "3G" rules (vaccinated, recovered, tested). The German Logistics Award will also be presented at a live event, which will, however, be on a smaller scale this year in the Large Hall of "our" InterContinental congress hotels. The content of the conference is entitled "Chancen nutzen - Adapt to lead". Despite all the gloomy predictions, the impacts of the pandemic have not caused a massive shift away from globalised flows of goods. Even so, processes and business models are changing. Supply chain management and logistics are Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Wimmer going through major upheaval and are constantly developing. Which kinds of technology will influence the Chairman of the Board, Bundesvereinigung Logistik value chains? How do we become genuinely climate-neutral? In 2021, the BVL once again invites all those attending the first day of the conference to attend this special moment. The jury, chaired by Matthias Wissmann, commends exemplary concepts developed and implemented in recent months, despite all the adversities. The evening is therefore dedicated to those who performed this hard work. The German Logistics Award honours particularly innovative and sustainable solutions to promote them and encourage others to follow suit. Come expecting to be surprised, and join the protagonists in eagerly anticipating the moment when the awards are presented, either online or in person in Berlin.
