DIVISION 1 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Countdown Saturday 31st July 2021 4.00pm Closure of water for practice purposes. This will give the canal 2 weeks to rest after the Individual National Championship the day before up until the Division 1 National Championship date. Saturday 14th August 2021 Angling Trust Division 1 National Championship. Please note: All competitors taking part must be Individual Members of the Angling Trust. DIVISION 1 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP General Information Headquarters Towcester Racecourse London Road Towcester NN12 6LB Draw To be conducted on AT Competitions Facebook www.facebook.com/anglingtrustcompetitions 4pm on Friday 13th August 2021 Fishing 11:00am-4:00pm (Duration 5 hours) Licences All competitors must be in possession of a current Environment Agency Rod Licence. Any competitor reported by the Environment Agency to the resulting team on the day of the match will be disqualified. Keepnet Minimum length of 2 metres. For 2021 Nationals on the Canals a separate keep net is required to retain any non-native fish species caught (zander/catfish). These must conform to the same requirements as other keep nets and a representative from the EA/and/or partner organisation will remove the fish at the end of the match. Bait Bans: No bloodworm and joker. No pellets of any type to be used. (This is in accordance with local club rules) Refreshments: Available on site. Eligible Fish: All fish caught are eligible for weighing with the exception of Game Fish, Pike, Zander and Crustaceans. Procedures: Any Team Changes required after the draw has taken place must be notified to the Even Manager before 8am on the morning of the match. All weighing in, and recording will be carried out by Senior Stewards, who will be supplied by the organising club. Page | 3

(See below for explanation) (£200.00 if all 10 anglers enter) Individual Pool (optional): £10.00 per angler (£100.00 if all 10 anglers enter) Team Pool (optional): £150.00 per team Total (if all pools entered) £650.00 Please note that from 2020 the pools for the Division 1 National have changed slightly to mean that section and sub-section winners will receive a pay-out, changed from sub-section winners only in previous years. The section pool is now £20.00 per angler to enter and is optional. The section pool is split as follows: Section Pool pays 1st in Section - £5.00 entry, Sub- Section Pool pays 1st in Sub-Section - £15.00 entry. This pool is optional but CANNOT be split. To ensure that the total to pay remains the same as previous years, the individual pool has been reduced to £10.00 per angler. Page | 4
