If a program does not have Troop/Girl an Adult symbol, unless otherwise noted, girls still require a Daisies (K–1) chaperone, but you can expect your role to be just that. ADVENTURE & LEARNING ARE ON THE HORIZON Whether you are a girl, parent, troop leader, or volunteer, Girl Scouts is designed with you in mind. Looking to venture into the great outdoors, or committed to serving your community? Hoping to travel the state (or country, or world!), explore science, technology, and engineering, or hone your entrepreneurial instincts? Girl Scouts has it all covered, providing you with well-rounded programming that delivers the essential Girl Scout experience. Registration is now open for all events through December 2019, so start planning your year—who knows what adventures are on the horizon? e s a t Imp o r t a nt D OPENING DATES FOR EARLY FALL PREVIEW EVENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: ⚬ OCTOBER 16, 2019 ⚬ MAY 15, 2019 Golden Gate Bridging registration opens. Registration opens for events that happen September–December 2019. ⚬ OCTOBER 31, 2019 Destinations applications are due at ⚬ AUGUST 2019 the Council office. The Guide is mailed to the homes of registered girl members. ⚬ OCTOBER–NOVEMBER 2019 Fall Product Program ⚬ SEPTEMBER 30, 2019 Deadline for Gold Award Final Reports from girls ⚬ JANUARY–MARCH 2020 graduating from 12th grade OR her 18th birthday, Girl Scout Cookie Program whichever comes later. ⚬ FEBRUARY 22, 2020 Deadline for Silver Award Final Reports from girls World Thinking Day graduating from 8th grade in 2019. Teams spanning ⚬ MARCH 12, 2020 multiple grades must go by the earliest deadline. Girl Scouts 108th Birthday Submit both Silver and Gold Award final reports directly to the council online. ⚬ OCTOBER 9, 2019 Registration opens for events run between January and September 2019.
