~2018-2019 Generations Volunteer Role Descriptions~ · (Number) in parenthesis indicates how many people are needed. · Every member must choose (at least) ONE volunteer position to serve on in order to fulfill your membership requirement. Of course, you may serve in more than one role if desired. · We are requesting existing members who have been in Generations for >3 years to serve in a co-coordinator role and leave the committee member spots for newer members. · *Indicates Steering Committee position ~2018-2019 Generations Steering Committee~ A team devoted to ensuring Generations activities and events are in line with the Vision and Mission Statements of Generations. The team meets throughout the year to pray for Generations and give updates regarding activities, events, and the financial status of our support group. *Homeschool Pastor, Crossroads Fellowship Church: Pastor John Frye john.frye@crossroads.org Overseeing pastor to the homeschool community at Crossroads Fellowship. *Generations Director: Michelle Doeffinger director@generationshomeschool.com Conduct the overall administration of Generations Homeschool Group. Supervise the Steering Committee and Support Leaders. POC for Generations in the community. *Communications Director (1): Oversees all technology communications within Generations, including the public website, the private Groupsite and Facebook page. Adds/invites or removes members to/from Groupsite each year. Maintenance of: usernames, passwords, domain name, @generationshomeschool.com email accounts for steering committee members. *Treasurer (1): Tracks/balances budget, obtains reimbursements, and works with Crossroads to maintain the Generations account. Maintains copies of monthly and yearly reports. *Activities Directors (2): Organizes and supports the coordinators of activities and clubs. Works with the New Member Care Coordinator and Room Reservationist. Uses volunteer information to create a Master Volunteer List and posts info on Groupsite. Keeps list updated as roles fill. Room Reservationist (1): Works with Activities Director and Crossroads Fellowship church admin to schedule events and make room reservations at Crossroads Fellowship. *Leadership Apprentice (Any Position): *Works closely with any Steering Committee member with the intent to transition into a specific Leadership role the following year. *Member Registration Coordinator (1): Works with the Steering Committee to update the registration forms, Posts registration announcement/links to Groupsite and web site. Responsible for processing Member Registrations and forwarding registrations to Director, Treasurer, New Member Care, Activities Directors and registrant.
*New Member Care Coordinators (2): Makes initial phone calls to welcome new members to Generations and confirm volunteer role, identifies any needs and relays to Steering Committee. Hosts several “Welcome Teas” during the year to help & assimilate new members. *Fundraising Coordinator (2): Organize several fundraising events, approved by the steering committee, to raise funds that will help defray the cost of annual Groupsite membership. *Chick- fil-A Cow Calendars, *Generations T-shirts, etc. (Takes orders, collects money, places orders, submits funds to the Generations treasurer and distributes items.) ===================================================================== ~Co-op Leadership Teams~ *FALL Legacy Enrichment Co-op: Fridays 9am-12pm, 8+ weeks *Legacy Directors (3): Camille Logue, Deniece Aparicio & Lauren Pippin Legacy@generationshomeschool.com *Fall and Spring* Oversees the enrichment Legacy Co-op and the Legacy leadership team. Organizes & advertises registration, tracks members, children, classes and spaces used each semester. Fall Legacy R&R Coordinators (2): Determines the moms’ hour activities, recruits R&R discussion leaders for each hour. This role is excused from teaching a Legacy class. Fall Legacy Substitute Coordinator (1): Receives calls and emails to be informed of any substitution needs, is the POC for last minute substitutions. Maintains a list of Moms in R&R for each hour to keep an orderly, rolling track and notifies those who will sub during opening announcements. Posts reminders if applicable on Groupsite in the Legacy discussion tab. Fall Legacy Snack Coordinator (1): Monitor the snack rooms & assist with announcements after snack time in preparation for 2 hour classes. (Parents provide their snacks) nd Fall Legacy Clean-Up Coordinator (1): Maintains Clean-up rotation schedule, notifies families weekly, Oversees clean-up duties at the end of Legacy. SNAP Directors Apprentice (Any): Assists Directors. Maintains SNAP Bulletin Board, Phone Tree, Collects money / Maintains SNAP budget. Works with Generations Treasurer and SNAP Directors SNAP Supplies Coordinator (1): Work with directors to organize and inventory supply cabinet and create supply list; order any necessary supplies; pull supplies each week during lunch break for afternoon classes; return supplies to SNAP Cabinet and make sure all checked out material is returned, and accounted for at end of day. SNAP Lunchroom & Clean-Up Coordinator (1): Create, maintain & supervise a schedule for lunchroom monitor & cleaning duties for all members. SNAP Events Coordinators (3): Plan SNAP events: Kick-Off Party (July), Spirit Month (October), Birthdays (1st Friday each month), Winter Party (last day before Winter Break), Valentine Party (February), Finale (April), and end-of-year trip ====================================================================== ~Leadership Descriptions & Service Roles~ ~Parental Support~ Generations Care Coordinators (2): POC for members needing organized help such as: meals, cards, encouragement, prayer requests & support (loss of job / hospitalization/sickness / new baby, loss of a loved one etc.) Posts needs on the on Groupsite forum: Care & Prayer Needs
Mentor Ministry Coordinators (2): Connect Moms with mentoring opportunities using various resources such as one on one communication as well as R&R, Moms retreat, Welcome tea’s, parent meetings, etc. Parent Socials & Support Meetings Coordinators (2): Organizes socials & meetings to promote connection. Examples: Moms Night Out, Mom's Christmas cookie exchange, Couples Night Out, Homeschool-help sharing, speakers on various subjects of interest, Mentor Ministry events. Posts information on the Groupsite forum: Parent Meetings/Socials Parent Socials & Support Meetings Committee (2): Assists with the planning of parent events. Generations and Friends Park Play Days Coordinators (2): Organizes various park play dates for all ages where kids and Moms can build friendships. This is a place open to all area homeschoolers or those interested in Generations. Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/241920232622711/ Library & Supply Closet Coordinators (2): Responsible for maintaining an organized, inventoried and well stocked supply closet and promoting the resources available for our families there. (Needs to be in Legacy or SNAP) Display the Self-Service Library Cart regularly during Legacy, Track borrowers/returns and supplies needed, POC for inquiries/orders. Generations Photography Coordinators (2): Collects photos to designated Drop Box account (for all ages and all Generations events). Creates a “Generations Year in Review slide-show CD”. Works with the EOY Coordinators and Teen Yearbook Coordinators. Tech Team Committee (4): Attends a 1 hour training session to run sound and video equipment for future Generations events held at CRF. Must be available to run sound for at least one or more events during the year. Please note what events you prefer to volunteer as tech team member. Reports to Activities Director. Missions Thrift Store Volunteer Coordinators (2): Coordinates several days of service throughout the year for all ages to help support the local church and missions. ===================================================================== = ~Kid Generations (Preschool through Elementary)~ Preschool Playdates and Field Trips Coordinators (2): Plan several playdates/socials or field trips for PRESCHOOL students throughout the year and is POC for any member wanting to plan one. (ex: in-home play day, Marbles museum, etc.) Posts information in the Groupsite forum: Preschool Play Dates & Field Trips Preschool Playdates and Field Trips Committee (2): Assists with planning children’s events. Elementary Socials, Field Trips and Service Projects Coordinators (2): Plan several socials, field trips and service projects for ELEMENTARY students throughout the year and is POC for
any member wanting to plan one. Posts information on the Groupsite forum: Elementary Socials, Field Trips & Service Projects Elementary Socials, Field Trips and Service Projects Committee (2): Assists with planning elementary events. ~Teen Generations (Middle and High School)~ Middle School Socials, Field Trips and Service Projects Coordinators (2): Plan several socials, field trips or service projects for MIDDLE SCHOOL students throughout the year and is POC for any member wanting to plan one. Posts information on Groupsite forum: Teen Generations> Socials, Field Trips & Service Projects Middle School Committee (2): Assists with planning Middle School events. High School Socials, Field Trips and Service Projects Coordinators (2): Plan several socials, field trips or service projects for HIGH SCHOOL students throughout the year and is POC for any member wanting to plan one. Posts information on Groupsite forum: Teen Generations> Socials, Field Trips & Service Projects High School Committee (2): Assists with planning High School events. Teen Yearbook Coordinators (2): May invite a group of teens to design and publish a Teen Yearbook for our Middle and High School students. Plan a “Senior Pics Day”, Collects photos to designated Drop Box account for Yearbook and for Teen headshots. Creates a CD of the “Generations Graduates slide-show”. Plans a ‘Yearbook signing party’ at the end of the school year. Collaborates with Graduation Coordinators. ===================================================================== =
