All Competitors/Exhibitors compete at their own risk & must complete & sign Indemnity & Waiver Forms before competing. This must include names of horse, description, microchip number, PIC number of where horse resides and the last event where it competed. P.I.C. No. NI268361 We require a Record of Attendance at Horse Events Form to be submitted. No Electrical Tape, Electric or Rope Fences to be used on Showground. Dogs must be secured at all times. Limited Disabled Parking available on application Improper Behaviour: Outside assistance to competitors by word, by radio or any other method in horse ring events will NOT be permitted. If in breach of this ruling, competitors and their exhibits may be dismissed from the event and the show ground. Competitors names to be submitted to ASC. SECTION 1 — HORSES Ring 1 – Saturday - Australian Registered Stock Horses – Led Classes Ring 2 – Saturday - Breed Led Classes Ring 3 – Saturday - Pony Led and Aged Riding Classes Ring 4 – Saturday - Hack Sporting – Saturday after conclusion of ring events. SHOWJUMPING – MAIN RING – SUNDAY 31ST MARCH, GYMKHANA – SUNDAY 31ST MARCH Waiver Form & Record of Attendance at Horse Events - Centrefold Important Notice to All Exhibitors Any exhibitor intending to bring Electrical Equipment to the showground will be required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that all electrical leads, tools and equipment have been inspected and tagged by a licensed electrical contractor. This is essential for the safety of yourself, your fellow exhibitors and general public and is required by the Work, Health & Safety Act 1983. The Act imposes very severe penalties in the event of non-compliance with its provisions. Any exhibitors who DO NOT comply with the above instructions will not be allowed to exhibit at the Wingham Showground. Wingham Show Society Inc. The showground is a licensed area. NO alcohol and glass bottles to be brought onto the Showground Indemnity & Record of Attendance at Horse Events Forms To Be Signed By All Competitors before Competing Local: means a resident within the GTCC Area. Novice: is a horse or rider that has not won a championship at any registered show Note: All entries in breed classes must be registered with respective breed societies. All championship winners must remain and enter in the Supreme Champion Award The Committee reserve the right to add or delete any event or rearrange the programme as required. PROPERTY IDENTIFICATION CODES (PICs) PIC NUMBERS – As from 1st September, 2012, people with horses on their property need to apply for a PIC. This is a bio-security measure. PICs are assigned to individual properties and allocated by Livestock Health and Pest Authorities who maintain the Register. You may already have a PIC if you pay your rates to LLS. FORMS CAN BE SUBMITTED ON-LINE THROUGH: http://www.lls.nsw.gov.au/ Every Exhibitor bringing horses to the Showground will be required to list each horse being shown, together with the PIC for the property from which it has come on the waiver form before competing RING EVENT CONDITIONS 1 THE AGE of all horses to be calculated from the 1 st of August. Every horse foaled before 1 st August in year shall be deemed to be one year old on that date. Fillies and colts to be under 4. 2 Measurement of horses. 12mm will be allowed for horses wearing shoes. No exhibit shall be judged unless so presented to the official measurer. 3 Groom or others in charge of exhibits must obey the orders of the stewards or be subject to a fine or ejection from the ground. 4 Owners of Stallions shall have same trained to lead, otherwise they will not be allowed to show. 5 Stallions must be under the control of a person 17 years of age & over. 6 All Stallions and Colts must have a bar or bit in the mouth when in the ring 7 All stallions must be secured in panels when not competing or in stallion boxes, these can be booked by contacting the secretary. 8 All Breed class entries must produce registration papers at time of entry, and the owner must supply current membership card. 9 In the Hack Section an animal will be classified by height. In the Show Hunter, Hack classes only Ponies/Horses accepted for registration in a recognized registry are eligible to enter. Ponies or Horses will NOT be permitted to nominate or compete in both Hack & Show Hunter Hack classes. 9 Exhibitors and stewards shall withdraw to a distance from the exhibits where practicable while they are judged. 10 An Exhibitor knowingly making false entries shall forfeit any prizes which may have been awarded and the committee shall have the power to disqualify any exhibitor for so doing for any period not exceeding two years. 11 The judge shall withhold awards where exhibits are not of sufficient merit, especially in championship prizes. 12 In awarding the championship the judge shall be required to select the next animal in order of merit to be champion, in the event of the latter being disqualified for any cause. 13 Committee members reserve to themselves the right to refuse to admit any exhibit to the ground which there is reason to suspect is either diseased or otherwise unsuitable and also to remove any such exhibit from the exhibition 14 ALL JUNIOR COMPETITIORS must wear safety helmets at all times, all other competitors are encouraged to wear safety helmets when competing. 15 NO AMENDMENTS TO RING SCHEDULE, Classes as per Printed Schedule.
RING EVENT CONDITIONS Continued: 16 Short definition: A PONY must not exceed 14 hands. A GALLOWAY must be over 14 hands and not exceed 15 hands and be true to Galloway type and confirmation. All Horses above 15 hands must compete in OPEN classes. MAIDEN CLASS for animals that have never won a first prize at a registered Show or at any major Rodeo or in any similar competition. 17 The Committee reserves the right to alter, vary or delete any clause or event in the programme, and to make any investigation they deem necessary concerning eligibility of any horse or rider or to withhold prizemoney if necessary, until enquiries are finalised. 18 AGE FOR CHILDRENS EVENTS: Age for child determined on the first day of the show. (Not Showjumping OR Funtastic Gymkhana) 19 PRIZEMONEY will be available from the Announcer’s Box Office daily. Prize monies not collected on the days of the show will be forfeited.
