RE – Christianity – The
Ten Commandments
What are the Ten Commandments?

Watch the clip below and make notes in your
exercise book.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z687tfr

After you have watched the clip, record in your
exercise book which of the ten commandments
you think is the most important and why.
RE – Christianity – The Ten Commandments

Think about these questions. Discuss them with someone at home if you
can:

What would the world be like without rules? Imagine road systems,
sports or a classroom without rules. What problems might we face?

What about more general living?
RE – Christianity – The Ten Commandments
Now, we would like you to come up
with five-ten rules for life. What do
you think is important? Record your
rules in your exercise book – this
can be colourful and can include
 pictures!

Then, think about whether any of
 your rules are similar/different to
 the Ten Commandments that
 Christians follow. How it helps
 religious people (and people in
general) to have rules given to
 them?
