   Prof. Dr. Jaap DE ZWAAN

                                                  Jaap de Zwaan is emeritus Professor of European Union Law at Erasmus
                                                  University Rotterdam and former Director of the Netherlands Institute of
                                                  International Relations, Clingendael. His professional career has
                                                  essentially been devoted to the domain of European integration, in several
                                                  capacities, such as member of the bar, diplomat, university professor and
                                                  director of a think tank. De Zwaan has participated in negotiations at
                                                  European Union level with regard to, for example, treaty making, the
                                                  accession of new member states and harmonization of national
                                                  legislations. He also was agent of the Dutch Government in numerous
                                                  legal proceedings before the Court of Justice in Luxembourg. His main
                                                  domains of EU interest are related to respectively the constitutional
                                                  debate, the internal market cooperation, the area of freedom, security and
                                                  justice (notably EU asylum and immigration law and policy), and the
                                                  external relations of the EU. Jaap de Zwaan is TEPSA’s Secretary-
                                                  General.

                                                  Frank Schimmelfennig is Professor of European Politics and member of
                                                  the Center for Comparative and International Studies at the ETH Zurich.
                                                  He also chairs the Scientific Board of the Institut für Europäische Politik in
                                                  Berlin. His research focuses on European integration and, more
                                                  specifically, integration theory, EU enlargement, differentiated integration,
                                                  democracy promotion and democratization.

                                                  Born in Wuppertal in 1951, Werner Hoyer studied and earned his
                                                  doctorate in economics at the University of Cologne in 1977, where he
                                                  also worked as a research assistant and later as a lecturer for
                                                  "International Economic Relations". During his time as a member of the
                                                  German Bundestag, he served in the FDP parliamentary group, among
                                                  others as parliamentary manager, security spokesman, deputy chairman
                                                  and foreign policy spokesman, as well as general secretary of the FDP
                                                  and minister of state in the Federal Foreign Office. He was elected as
                                                  President of the EIB by the EU member states in 2012. Dr. Hoyer and his
                                                  wife Katja have 2 children.

                                                  The Board of Governors confirmed Dr. Hoyer's re-election for a second
                                                  term in July 2017, starting on January 1st, 2018.

   Axel DITTMANN

                                                  Axel Dittmann is Director for EU Institutional Affairs, Brexit, EU
                                                  Coordination, and EU2020 Presidency at the German Federal Foreign
                                                  Office. Until recently, he was Ambassador of Germany to Serbia, a
                                                  position he had held since 2015. Other previous roles include Head of
                                                  Division for European Policy Issues in the Federal Foreign Office, member
                                                  of the UNOSEK negotiating team at the United Nations in Vienna (2006–
                                                  2007), and member of the German negotiating team for the Treaty
                                                  establishing a Constitution for Europe (2001–2004).

                                                  Christian Frommelt is Director (since 2018) and Research Fellow for
                                                  politics (since 2011) at the Liechtenstein Institute. He is currently

   Prof. Dr. Brigid LAFFAN

                                                  Brigid Laffan is Director and Professor at the Robert Schuman Centre for
                                                  Advanced Studies, an inter-disciplinary research centre at the European
                                                  University Institute. The Centre’s mission is to contribute to research on
                                                  the major issues facing contemporary European society. Previously she
                                                  was Vice-President of UCD and Principal of the College of Human
                                                  Sciences from 2004 to 2011. Brigid Laffan is recipient of numerous
                                                  awards: in 2005 she was elected Member of the Royal Irish Academy and
                                                  in 2010 received the Ordre nationale du Mérite from the President of the
                                                  French Republic. Her scholarship has been recognised by the THESEUS
                                                  Award for Outstanding Research on European Integration in 2012 and the
                                                  Lifetime Achievement Award for contribution to the development of
                                                  European Studies in 2014 by UACES. Brigid’s research focuses on the
                                                  dynamic of European integration.

                                                  Stephan Mayer, a lawyer by training, has been a member of the
                                                  Bundestag since 2002 and Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal
                                                  Minister of the Interior, Building and Community since March 2018.

   Prof. Dr. Adriaan SCHOUT

                                                  Adriaan Schout is Professor of European Public administration at the
                                                  Radboud University (Nijmegen, NL) and Senior Expert at the Netherlands
                                                  Institute of International Relations (The Hague, NL). He published in the
                                                  major academic journals on multilevel governance. Winner of the Prize for
                                                  ‘Best Book in Contemporary European Integration Studies’ from UACES
                                                  for his book with Andrew Jordan: The coordination of European
                                                  Governance: exploring the capacities for networked governance, Oxford:
                                                  Oxford University Press. He served as EU advisor to the Dutch
                                                  government in the Advisory Council for Internal Affairs (2012-2020). His
                                                  latest research includes studies on the remains of policy competition in the
                                                  EU and on the EU’s multilevel management of border control. In addition,

                                                  Danijela Jacimovic is Professor of International Economics, Globalization
                                                  of World Economy, Introduction of EU Economics, at the Faculty of
                                                  Economics, University of Montenegro. She is head of International
                                                  business department at Graduate studies and at International Economics
                                                  department at the Master studies. The member of the Doctoral
                                                  commission at the Faculty of Economics and was member of the Doctoral
                                                  Board at the University of Montenegro. The member of negotiation teams
                                                  25 and 33. She teaches International Finance and EU Institutions at the
                                                  undergraduate studies. Also she taught at the Faculty of Political Studies,

                                                  professor at many international universities (London School of Economics,

                                                  Giorgi Khishtovani is Research Director at PMC Research Center.
                                                  Parallely, he is an Associate Professor and head of department of finance
                                                  at the Business School of Ilia State University. Before joining PMC
                                                  Research Center, he worked as the deputy dean of faculty of business
                                                  administartion and economics at Tbilisi State University (2009-2011); in
                                                  2011-2014 he was a research fellow at the University of Bremen, while in
                                                  2015-2016 he worked as the head of research at Institute of Development
                                                  of Freedom of Information (IDFI). In 2015-2017, he worked as the director
                                                  of grants and programs at the National Science Foundation of Georgia
                                                  (SRNSF) and as the Associate Professor at the Caucasus International
                                                  University.

                                                  Prof. Khishtovani focuses his research on the political economy and
                                                  governance, on fiscal policy, human capital development, international
                                                  trade and global finance. Moreover, he is an author and co-author of
                                                  various applied research papers, where he has conducted sectoral studies
                                                  in the fields of finances, capital markets, insurance sector, health care and
                                                  regional competitiveness.

   Dr. Yuriy YAKYMENKO

                                                  Dr. Yuriy Yakymenko is the President of the Razumkov Centre, Kyiv,
                                                  Ukraine.
                                                  Before joining the Razumkov Centre, in 1995-2002, he worked at
                                                  Administration of the President of Ukraine, as political analyst, Head of
                                                  Division for liaison with political parties and public organization, Deputy
                                                  Head of the Main Department of Political Analysis and Forecast.
                                                  He studied political science at Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University
                                                  (graduated in 1991), obtained MA degree in Political Theory from The
                                                  University of Manchester (1994), hold Ph.D. in Political Science.
                                                  Author of monographs, analytical reports, research papers, policy
                                                  recommendations, numerous publications and comments for Ukrainian
                                                  and foreign media on issues of Ukrainian politics. Took part in drafting
                                                  legislation for reformation of political system of Ukraine, political parties

                                                  project for the Trio EU Council Presidency of Germany, Portugal and
                                                  Slovenia #EngagEUrCouncil. Her research focuses on Common Security
                                                  and Defence Policy, the Future of Europe, and German-French relations.
