Dip into the Past with Stuttgart’s Seilbahn (cable railway) Stuttgart has two rarities in its public transport. The so-called “Stadtseilbahn” in Heslach is a historical cable railway and transports passengers from “Südheimer Platz” to “Waldfriedhof” since 1929. From “Waldfriedhof” you can do the hiking path “Blaustrümpflerweg” which brings you to the U-Bahn stop “Marienplatz”. From there on you can change to the other rarity, which is called “Zacke”. The “Zacke” runs between “Marienplatz” and “Degerloch”. The views both trams offer are spectacular! Address: Südheimer Platz, 70199 Stuttgart Arrival by U-Bahn: by U1 (Vaihingen Bf) and U9 (Heslach) from “Charlottenplatz” to stop “Südheimer Platz” or from “Rotebühlplatz/Stadtmitte” by U34 to stop “Südheimer Platz“ Admission fee: your VVS ticket is valid in both trams More Information: https://www.stuttgart.de/tourismus/sehenswuerdigkeiten/seilbahn.php 40
