03. Our Networks › Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland has been operating in Leipzig to Erfurt and Saalfeld. 07. Our Workshops › Rheine depot WestfalenBahn GmbH has had a workshop in Rheine since 2007. The facility has everything that is necessary to repair and maintain the vehicles. An elevated track with side working pits facilitates easy maintenance of the vehicles and regular brake inspections on the under- side of the vehicle body. The second hall track has a to- tal of twelve lifting jacks with which the vehicles, which may be up to 90 metres long, can be raised completely. A fixed roof working structure covering the entire 90 metres facilitates maintenance work on the vehicle roof. This enables important vehicle components such as transformers, air conditioning systems and air compres- sors to be reached. An external washing system ensures that the exteriors of the vehicles are kept clean. The washing water is collected and has a 95 percent reuse factor. › Minden depot The Minden depot, which was opened in 2015, is the maintenance location for WestfalenBahn's KISS railcars. With a total length of 173 metres and two mainte- nance tracks, the depot offers optimum conditions for the maintenance of the 156-metre-long double-decker trains.
