Invitations to Wagga Wagga High Playgroup Our school based ‘Playgroup for Preschoolers’ is up and running as of today. We are still taking bookings for those interested in coming along to the next few sessions. The playgroup sessions are run by Year 9 students studying our elective course ‘Child Studies’. Sessions are FREE and will run for 6 weeks each Monday morning between 9:30am – 10:30am. A wide range of activities are offered to children aged from 1-5 years. To make a booking, please contact our school office on 6925 3611. Roadcraft Driving Services Roadcraft Driving Services and NDE Australia are currently conducting the Roads & Maritime Service (RMS) Safer Driver Course in Wagga Wagga, for Learner Drivers. The next courses will be held at the Wagga Wagga RSL, Dodds Street Wagga Wagga, on Sunday 19 August 2018, commencing at 9:00am. The course consists of a 3 hour theory session followed by a 2 hour practical driving session, which involves low risk driving techniques. The 2 hour session entails 2 students, completing 1 hour drive each, on a pre prepared route. The course provides 20 hours of log time in the Learner Drivers Handbook for $140. Drivers need to have 50 log book hours to qualify for the course. This is great value for students and families and can be completed in 1 day. Lunch is provided at the training venue. The instructors are highly skilled and experienced and provide Dance Night Lost Property easy to understand instruction, which will assist young drivers to gain valuable experience and safe driving techniques. National Disability Insurance Scheme Job Centre Australia is a non-profit organisation supporting young people with a disability post school. Please see details below for those students or families wanting to access the NDIS. Students are preparing many activities to keep the younger children on their toes. They will be painting, drawing, cutting out, gluing, doing craft, running, jumping, throwing and catching, dressing up, completing puzzles, playing games and learning a lot at the same time. These preschoolers are expected to be very active in this time. It is an excellent opportunity for all involved. Student Assistance Scheme The Student Assistance Scheme provides support for students attending NSW Government schools. Student assistance funds can be used to provide financial support for items such as • Uniforms • Books • Excursions • Elective contributions Families who need assistance should collect an application form from Deputy Principal, Mr Curry or the school office.
