This is how we know the ballot comes from you. • How do we get your signature? If you register or update using a paper registration form, we capture the signature on the form. 6 6 Registering to Vote You can register to vote through Election Day! You can now register to vote, update your address, or make other updates to your voter registration in person at Douglas County Courthouse in Waterville through 8 p.m. on Election Day. But why wait. Register or update your registration at www.votewa.gov. Registering to vote through the Department of Licensing or Health Benefit Exchange just got easier! VOTER INFORMATION If you are getting an enhanced driver license, you will now be automatically registered to vote or have your address updated. Don’t wish to register? You can opt out. If you are getting a non-enhanced license, you will still be asked if you would like to register to vote. You can now register to vote while signing up for or renewing your health insurance through the Health Benefit Exchange. Pre-registration for teens 16 and 17 year olds may now pre-register to vote. Registrations submitted online, by mail, or in person will be assigned a ‘pending’ status until they turn 18. If the registrant turns 18 before the next scheduled Election Day, they will automatically be mailed a ballot at their registered address.
