The rejuvenated Nadanahalli Lake (Devi Kere) is open for public. Trees have
been planted around the lake, along with Rotary Mysore, to make it a home for
many bird species including migratory birds.
Apart from the lake rejuvenation, the project envisages development of the ad-
joining public space. In Phase II, a children’s play area, outdoor fitness zone,
fencing and stone embankment along with more tree plantation will be taken
up. This Rs 28 lakh project is the result of working closely for about 4 years with
all the stakeholders who are keen to support such activities, as they closely
impact the local community.
