Each year, about five million people attend one of the numerous fairs around
our state. As Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services, 10 Ag at the Fair
I’m excited about the positive impact fairs and livestock shows have on the

IN THE FLORIDA CENTER
Since our start in 1904, creative competitions have been woven into the
history of the Florida State Fair. This year, over 3400 adult and youth
entries from every corner of the state compete for a blue ribbon prize in
quilting, baking, painting, aquariums, horticulture and a variety of crafts.
