The phrase, a reflection on the limits and dangers of democracy, has been rewritten using a font belonging to the "liberty" tradition (the Italian art nouveau) The phrase takes on a different meaning to analyze the relationship between style and inventive freedom, ornament and crime. The series consists of sculptural compositions in which art nouveau fragments are reworked and hybridized with elements belonging to a contemporary decadent imaginary, to create capricious compositions with aberrant and monstrous shapes. The artist gives life to objects that Libertymaybeendangeredbytheabuseofliberty belong to a new style that he calls "Very Liberty". Locale Due, 2018 Composition n.1 (Detail) Bologna - Italy

L'impenetrabile consists of a portion of unformed matter punctured with innumerable holes. From some of these holes peep out some zucchini, vectors that invite us to penetrate imaginatively inside the sculpture, to make our way through its dark tunnels. The materials of which the work is composed shun the conventional logics of the sculptural tradition because of their symbolic allegorical qualities: instruments by virtue of which an idea slowly takes shape in our imagination. Thus, the zucchini, wrapped in a layer of Durex Eternal Pleasure Gel, causes us to perceive the friction of a penetration alluding to intense pleasures.
