 Georges Island National Historic Site
   The newest addition to Nova Scotia’s National Historic
   Sites family
   Georges Island is located in the heart of Halifax
   harbour, the place the Mi’kmaq called Kjipuktuk or
   “The Great Harbour.”
   Accessible by shuttle boat or kayaking packages
   Discover how this small island and its fortifications
   played a large role as a prison, as an internment camp
   for Acadians, in the development of Nova Scotia and in
   the overall defence of Canada.
   Georges Island is one of five National Historic Sites in
   Halifax which are known collectively as the Halifax
   Defence Complex:
       Halifax Citadel
       Fort McNab
       Prince of Wales Tower
       York Redoubt
       Georges Island

   New viewing deck designed to enhance
   views - access to the rocks and
   lighthouse will not be impeded.
       deck and railings will be made of
       wood and steel
       rail guard will be steel knit pattern
       that resembles fish net, set into the
       landscape taking the shape of the
       rock to avoid overshadowing the
       landscape and lighthouse
       allow people to view the lighthouse
       and experience the waves and
       rocks in a way that is fully

 Ingonish Tree Walk
   Soaring 30 meters above the top of the mountain,
   North America’s first and only Tree Walk will allow you
   to explore Cape Breton nature, learn about the history
   of the Mi’kmaq people, and take in views of the
   Atlantic Ocean.
   Opening July 2021, the Tree Walk is delicately
   incorporated into the landscape, offering education,
   entertainment, and adventure accessible to all.
   Access will be by trail or a brand new 8-person
   gondola, the first in Atlantic Canada, which will take
   riders from the bottom of Cape Smokey 320 vertical
   meters to the top in 4 minutes.
       561 meters total walkway length
       0-6% grade (accessible)
       285 meters above sea level
       14 large educational signs highlighting history,
       local flora and fauna

 MUIR @ The Queen's Marque, Halifax
   Queen's Marque is a combination of office space,
   residences, retail shops and restaurants … and the
   brand new MUIR Autograph Collection Hotel, the first
   in Nova Scotia.
   Opening in the summer, MUIR will be a 5-star
   property on the Halifax waterfront with 109 hotel
   rooms and suites with custom-designed furniture, a
   speakeasy, a private guest-only art gallery and so
   much more!

 Inn at the Winery @ Grand Pre
   Located in the Annapolis Valley next to the UNESCO
   World Heritage Site, Domaine de Grand Pré is
   Atlantic Canada’s oldest Farm Winery, owned and
   operated by the Stutz Family since 1994.
   The Swiss born family quickly made its mark
   displaying a European sensibility for quality and
   passion for wine.
   The new Inn, scheduled to open in the spring, is the
   family's farm house
   Also new in 2021: Chef's Table Dining
       up to 10 guests seated at the Chef's Table
       interaction with Chef Jason Lynch as the meal is
       being prepared
       chef and sommelier led dinner
       5 or 7 course meals with wine pairings hosted by
       the winemaker

 o'TENTiks at Grand Pre National Historic Site
   Located in the Annapolis Valley in the Landscape of Grand
   Pre UNESCO World Heritage Site

   scheduled to be available in the spring

   Launch Day - March 26: Celebrating 100 years since Bluenose was
   launched in Lunenburg and the official launch of Bluenose 100:
       10am: Livestream with exciting new Bluenose interviews, videos
       and stories and historical footage
       7pm: Livestream celebration with local musicians, performers
       and storytellers
   Weekly Bluenose 100 Livestreams (Bluenose100.ca): ie. cooking
   classes, model workshops, dory trawling demonstrations, live
   walking tour of Lunenburg Waterfront, seafaring superstitions, etc.
