THE PLATINUM SHOW
What’s it all about?

The British Horse Society (BHS) was founded in 1947, and has grown over the past
70 years to become the largest equestrian charity in the UK, with over 100,000
members.
The Platinum Show marks the 70th anniversary, and celebrates the Society's
achievements in education, welfare, access and safety in those 70 years.
The show is organised by the Warwickshire committee of the BHS - a group of
horse-loving volunteers from different walks of life, who work together to promote
the values and vision of the charity locally. For more about the Warwickshire
committee, see page 14.
Proceeds from the show will be invested in furthering the objectives of the BHS
within Warwickshire's equestrian community.

The British Horse Society – fulfilling your passion for horses

We want a world where every horse is properly protected and cared for, and we
want to ensure horse owners and riders get more from their relationship with
horses. We see ourselves as a Society which provides a strong voice for horses and
people and which spreads awareness through support, training and education.

Objectives

 To promote and advance the education, training and safety of the public in
all matters relating to the horse
 To promote the use, breeding, well-being, safety, environment, health and
management of the horse for the public benefit
 To promote community participation in healthy recreation involving the
      horse
 To promote and facilitate the prevention of cruelty, neglect or harm to
horses and to promote the relief, safety, sanctuary, rescue and welfare of
horses in need of care, attention and assistance
 To promote and secure the provision, protection and preservation of rights
of way and of access for, ridden and driven horses over public roads,
highways, footpaths, bridleways, carriageways, public paths and other land

           For more on our work
