and represent the finest offerings of Kern County. Good luck with your projects and best wishes
for a fantastic fair experience.
It requires many dedicated individuals and hard work to produce a successful fair. We are
especially proud of our youth who utilize the opportunities provided by the fair to participate
in various agricultural events and programs. Whether you are staff, a volunteer, exhibitor,

The directors of the 15th District Agricultural Association are appointed by the Governor
of the State of California. Directors provide leadership to represent the interests of the area
served, and establish policy accordance with the laws of what fairs can and should do.
The Board of Directors is actively involved throughout the year in a committee system to
oversee the management for the Fair and other fairground events. Directors serve without
compensation; the Association is a state agency supported in part by horse racing taxes, but
the majority of revenue is self-generated.
