MEDIA RELEASE GEORGE GLASS DOES ART ATTACK | JULY 10 | 7:30PM Unique Art-Rock Show Hits Streaky Bay After a smash premiere season at the Adelaide Fringe 2021, Adelaidean funk rock band George Glass are now taking their new show, Art Attack, to Streaky Bay. Art Attack is a unique art-rock show where audiences are invited on stage to paint a giant mural to the music. Armed with a paintbrush all you need to do is get lost in the music and make your mark on the wall. “People don’t have to get up if they don't want to. But we’ve found that once people see how much fun, and how easy going it is, they change their minds.” says guitarist Nic Conway. Over the course of 60 minutes, audiences will be invited up in groups of 4 to paint on a giant canvas. George Glass, who have been making cross art form music shows for 10 years, performing music and comedy across Australia and the U.K, will be providing a set of comedic, funk-rock tunes. “People have a few drinks, they laugh, they paint, it’s a really nice experience. And the artwork always looks fabulous. You don’t have to be any good at painting, just have fun, that’s what makes the art so unique to the community.” Says bassist Ali McMichael. George Glass have lined up a full tour across SA, with shows in Kangaroo Island, Pt Lincoln, Whyalla, Mt Gambier and of course Streaky Bay. At the end of the tour, they’ll be throwing one final Art Attack in Adelaide and then exhibiting all the canvases! MEDIA RELEASE The Streaky Bay and District Medical Clinic Inc 26th May 2021 CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIP At the most recent AGM it was voted by members to extend the duration of membership from 1 year to 5 years. This means that for any one signing up or renewing a lapsing membership, doing this small task today means you will retain membership until 30th June 2026. We value your ongoing support so we can continue to support the health of our community and hope that you would please consider renewing your membership under these new terms. Most of you will have likely met our new GP Dr Victoria and we are sure you have helped make her feel welcome. However, the quest continues to secure a second GP for Streaky Bay to support Dr Victoria and ensure that we can continue to build the suite of services available at the Clinic for you to have access to. Being a financial member of the Clinic demonstrates support of the continuation of the community run Clinic in Streaky Bay. The volunteer board of locals remain dedicated to securing two full time GP's as well as finding and enticing locum GP's to the area in the interim. Having community support shown through a strong membership base aids in these tasks, as well as when lobbying government for additional help. To renew, fill out the included form and return in person at the Clinic or the local ANZ branch, or email to admin@streakybaymedical.com. Your personal details will remain confidential.
