He will further hand over and explain to you all travel related documents. Overnight at Hotel in New Delhi. day 02 Drive from New Delhi to Corbett After an early breakfast, depart for Corbett National Park (275 kms/ 5 hrs) At the park entrance, switch to safari vehicle with your baggage. Be ready with your camera equipment as the next 32 km, 1.5-hour drive, is through the core area of the national park, where you have a good chance to encounter wildlife including Tigers, Leopards and Asian Elephants. On arrival, check into the forest lodge. Post Lunch, proceed for an Afternoon safari. Living in the Forest Rest House is unique to Corbett National Park. It is only in Corbett that you get an opportunity to stay inside the national park. The complex is located on the banks of Ramganga river and overlooks the foothills of Himalayas. Alcohol and smoking is not permitted here. Return from the safari at sunset. Dinner and overnight at the Forest Rest House.
day 03 Corbett National Park & Morning and afternoon jeep safaris, meals and overnight at Dhikala Forest day 04 Lodge inside the national park. Begin your morning safari at sunrise. Corbett has been aptly described as the land of the Roar, Trumpet and Song. It represents a scene of remarkable beauty. Corbett National Park had the proud distinction of being the chosen venue for the inauguration of Project Tiger in India. The rich biodiversity of the Reserve is partly attributed to the variety of habitats here. Due to the location of the Reserve in the foothills of the central Himalayas, both Himalayan and peninsular flora and fauna is found in the Reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Forest Rest House. day 05 Drive from Corbett to Agra Morning Jeep safari to Dhikala zone. After breakfast, checkout from the lodge and drive towards the exit gate of Corbett. Do not pack your camera equipment, as there’s an opportunity to witness wildlife on your way out. After exiting the park, drive to Agra, about 6-7 hours drive, 320kms. On arrival, check into the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Agra. day 06 Drive from Agra to Ranthambhore At sunrise, proceed to visit the famous white marble mausoleum, The Taj Mahal, which was built in the middle of the 17th century by the Moghul emperor Shah Jehan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Completed in 1652, skilled craftsmen from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy and some 20,000 labourers worked extensively for 17 years to build this edifice. Later, transfer to Ranthambore National Park (260 kms, 5-6-hour). On arrival, check into lodge, proceed for your afternoon jeep safari. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. day 07 Ranthambhore National Park & Morning & evening jeep safaris in the park. Meals at the resort. Overnight at day 08 the hotel in Ranthambhore. Ranthambhore encompasses an area of 400 sq. km encompassing rocky hill crests which descend to open valleys between the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges, dotted with water pools and fruit trees, this park gets its name from the thousand-year-old fortress, which lies nestled on hill above the forest. Well known for the diurnal activity of tigers, Ranthambhore is special and an unusual area where the natural present meets the historical past. Sambar, cheetal, chinkara, nilgai and langur are predominant in these parts. The elusive leopard and tigers are found in this reserve with tourists standing a very good chance of seeing tigers at close quarters during the safaris. Dotted across the landscape are the crumbling ruins of past glory, be it chatris or cupolas like palaces or old guard posts, all of these reinforce the magical and ethereal quality of this great wilderness. Ranthambhore is also rich in bird diversity with over 300 species that can be seen here. In fact, for a keen bird watcher, Ranthambhore and the surrounding area is a birding paradise. Some interesting resident species of birds are the Great Cormorant, Painted Spurfowl, Sarus Crane, Bronzed Winged Jacana, Sandpipers, Kingfishers, Nightjars, Painted Sandgrouse, the Indian Eagle Owl and many more winter migrants which arrive from their nesting ground north of the Himalayas. day 09 Drive from Ranthambhore to Jaipur Check-out after an early breakfast. Drive towards to the city of Jaipur (180 km takes around 3 hrs). Arrive at your hotel prior to lunch. Post lunch, visit the highlights of the Pink City, including the Jantar Mantar observatory, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) the City Palace and Museum, and the bustling bazaars in the historic part of town.
Jaipur is known for its shopping from precious stones to handicrafts. Return to your hotel at evening. Overnight at your hotel in Jaipur. day 10 Drive from Jaipur to New Delhi This morning, drive 11 km to the outskirts of the city stop at Jal Mahal to visit Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Temple of Kali, the Hall of Victory or Jai Mahal Later, visit the Observatory, Palace of Winds and the City Palace and Museum. The museum has an interesting textile section, which contains dresses and costumes of the former Maharajas and Maharanis of Jaipur. Later drive back to New Delhi (260 km/ 5 hrs). On arrival, check in to hotel Overnight stay at the hotel in New Delhi. day 11 Fly from New Delhi to Nagpur. Drive from Nagpur to Pench After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport in the morning to board a flight at 1020 hour which arrives in Nagpur at 1200 hrs. Meet our local driver at the airport and drive to Pench National Park (100 kms / 2-hour). On arrival, check into the Resort. Post lunch, head out for an afternoon jeep safari in the national park. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort. A total of 758 Sq. kms of this Southern Indian tropical moist deciduous forest has its extent weaving into the tropical dry deciduous teak. The area is crisscrossed by a number of streams and ‘nallahs’ most of which are seasonal. Although, the Pench River dries up in April end, a number of water pools locally known as ‘dohs’ are seen here which serve as water holes for the wildlife prevalent in the area. The Pench Reservoir at the center of the park is the only major water source during this pinch period. As the prey concentration is high along the Pench River, tigers usually inhabit and frequent this belt. Leopards though generally operate in the peripheral areas but are occasionally seen in the deep forest also. Jungle cats are commonly seen here too. Leopard cats, small Indian civets and palm civets are here but rarely seen. day 12 Pench National Park & Morning and afternoon Jeep safaris in the National park. Meals and overnight day 13 at the resort. In Pench, Cheetal and Sambar deer, are commonly seen grazing on the open sites along the roadside and banks of river & reservoir.
Jackals can be seen scouring for food in the Park. Packs of upto 15 or more wild dog can be seen near Chhedia, Jamtara, Bodanala and Pyorthadi areas of the Reserve. Herds of Gaur can be spotted near streams and bamboo patches commonly in summer months. Sloth beer occupy the rocky areas and favour mahua and bel dominated forest. Chinkara is present in very small numbers and is found in open areas around Turia, Telia and day 14 Drive from Pench to Kanha National Park Morning jeep safari to the national park. Post an early lunch, drive to Kanha National park (210 kms/ 4-5-hour drive). On arrival, check into the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the resort in Kanha day 15 Kanha National Park & Wake up at 0500hrs, tea coffee with biscuits, and proceed for the morning day 16 safari to the National park. Kanha’s sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendor which form the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is the only habitat of the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi). This is original Kipling country of which Rudyard wrote of so vividly in his Jungle Book. Packed breakfast from the Lodge is served at a designated spot and spread on the bonnet of the Safari vehicle. Enjoy your breakfast in the wilderness of Kanha. Continue your search for the elusive Tiger if you have not yet seen the same already, and soak in the fresh, and energizing environment around you. Return from Safari around 1130hrs. Freshen up, while Lunch is prepared. Post Lunch, depart for your afternoon jeep safari in Kanha National Park. Return at 6pm from the safari. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. day 17 Drive from Kanha to Bandhavgarh National Park Morning jeep safari in the national park. Post Lunch, depart for Bandhavgarh, (280kms, 6-hour drive). On arrival, check into the Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. day 18 Bandhavgarh National Park to Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at the Resort. Bandhavgarh National Park is mainly known for high density of tigers. This is the place where famous White Tigers of Rewa were first discovered. The other wild attractions in the park include Leopards, Blue Bulls, Indian Gaur (Bison) Chausingha (Four Horned Antelopes), Spotted Deers, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Sloth Bears Fox, Jackals, Wild Dogs, etc. There are at least 22 mammal species and about 250 bird species in the Park. The other animals found in Bandhavgarh are Ratel, Porcupine, Small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel, Lesser Bandicoot Rat, the Jungle Cat, and the Striped Hyenas. The reptile population in the park includes Cobras, Kraits, Vipers, Ratsnakes, Pythons, Monitor Lizards and turtles. The two-primate species - the rhesus macaque and the Hanuman langur - inhabit Bandhavgarh. Dinner and overnight at the Resort day 21 Drive from Bandhavgarh to Jabalpur. Fly from Jabalpur to New Delhi Morning jeep safari in national park. After lunch transfer to Jabalpur airport to board a flight at 1630 hrs which arrives in New Delhi at 1840 hrs.
