The 2020 German Exchange Transforming lives and developing international friendships. Trip to Gütersloh: Thursday 13th - Tuesday 25th February. Provisional Dates of Return Visit: Wednesday 16th - Monday 28th September
Key Information 1) Applications will be received in the next couple of weeks from our partner-school, Städtisches Gymnasium, Gütersloh, 2) Provisional deadline for applications from Alderman White & Bramcote College: Monday 25th November 3) Applications processed before or during the Christmas break 4) Partners in touch via email/WhatsApp etc 5) Final Information Evening in January Travel details, flights etc 6) Visit to Germany: 13th – 25th February 2020
Key Information (continued ) Programme in Germany includes: a) School experience – students able to attend classes with their partners but also have their own special programme of lessons b) Trips including a 2-day residential trip to a key city e.g. Hamburg, Leipzig, Berlin c) A disco and a joint school-concert 7) Return visit to Beeston in September: German students stay with families of AW/BC students Simple DBS check now required for parents/carers 8) Similar programme of activities in place for the return-visit: ie German students attend host students’ lessons. 9) Trips probably including 2-day trip with overnight stay e.g. Cambridge/London and a well-known theme-park 10) Exchange party/disco

An important part of the programme: Experiencing school-life in Germany. A combination of normal lessons and a programme of activities and lessons specially designed for our students delivered by teachers at the Städtisches Gymnasium
Examples of the 2-day trip included in the programme: Hamburg & Bremen •Visit to the Climate Museum in Bremen (das Klimahaus) • Tour of the main sights of Bremen and Hamburg – • Overnight stay in a hotel

Application Procedure • Application forms to be returned by Monday 25th November • Please return to Mr. Stephan • Please attach £70.00 deposit • Cheques should be made payable to ‘White Hills Park Trust’ . Please write the student’s name, German Exchange 2020 & FAO FINANCE on the envelope. • Payment-schedule: • Deposit of £ 70.00 required by Monday 25th November • Further £ 70.00 required by Monday 6th January • Further £ 70.00 required by Monday 27th January • Final £140.00 required by the end of June • ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………… • Total: £350.00
