DAY 1
WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS
Before you start your blog or website, you need a thorough understanding of your personal goals
and what is motivating you to start this course and what you want to achieve in the short- and long-
term.
Save your notes to Google Drive so you can revisit them each week or month.
-Write down your 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month goals
-Spend at least 3 hours writing down your goals
-This blueprint for the following 9-days will ensure you to reach your goals.

While the rand is weakening against the USD at an alarming rate (R17, 80 as I’m writing this to you), I
would recommend you focus on making USD at this stage.
Also, your audience is much bigger in USD than in South African Rand.

How long is their content?
Do they use visuals? | Is the data and content accurate and up-to-date? | Is their data comprehen-

Make a list of the top 20 to 40 keywords you want to rank on and check who is already ranking for them.
Check the Domain Authority of these sites.

Your niche should have keywords with high search volume and low-to-medium competition levels.

system.
34% of the world uses WordPress. So, you can rest assured it is a
solid option.
I use WordPress for all my websites. IT’S EXTREMELY EASY TO USE.
Even if you are just starting out you will understand it within a short
space of time. If you can manage your Facebook profile, I promise you
that you will be able to manage WordPress.
Design is crucial to your user experience as well as site speed, average
time on page and lead generation efforts.

Typically, the top key tabs include: Home | About Us | Product information | Services offered | Testimonials | Contact Us Write out your full sitemap in a document and save it in Google sheets in your Google Drive. Pro Tip Planning at this stage is crucial. Spend at least 3 hours on your website layout. Avoid reinventing the wheel. Simply go and check what your competitors’ website layout and page structure looks like It will give you a base to work from. You can get inspiration from their layout while building your own unique webpages. No doubt, your competitor has been in business longer than you have and has done some research and development on what works and what doesn’t work in the niche industry.

Create a list of 15 to 20 potential blog topics that you would like to write about.
The first thing to do is perform keyword research with a tool like SEMRush, Keywordtool.io or
Ubersuggest to view your target keyword’s search volume, competition, and current top 10 results.

Remember, content over 2 000 words has a better chance to rank on Page 1 of Google. The
more in-depth your planning is for your article and the closer you get to writing 2 000 words, the more
Google will reward you.
Focus on covering the ENTIRE topic in your article, even if you have to write 10 000 words on it.
This gives your content the competitive edge.
If your target keywords have high competition, it will be difficult to rank for them.
If they have less competition (under 0.3), your new blog has a chance of hitting page one faster.

While it’s easy to assume that you need 10 to 20 blog posts ready before you launch, this isn’t the
case.
Remember, it’s quality over quantity. One 3 000-word blog post can be more valuable than five
500-word blog posts.
Write long-form, compelling content. Content that is in-depth, informative and engaging will outrank
your competition.
CONTENT GOAL
Go to Pages/Add New to create a new pageTry to write 10 massive articles with topic authority
Aim to write one article a day.
Write your long articles with the right keywords inserted in the
content. You will have found these keywords through your initial
research task. Carefully select the right keywords so Google picks
up what content you are trying to optimise.

In addition, odd numbers at the beginning of your post perform are better than even numbers. For example: 87+ Best Forex Trading Brokers (2020). 2- Title length Keep your title under 60 characters so that it isn’t cut off on search engine results pages (SERPS). 3- Place your target keyword at or near the beginning of the title. 4- Place your target keyword in your URL of your blog post e.g. yourwebsite.com/forex-brokers. 5- Add the year at the end of your title if your topic is time-relevant. 6- Add your main target keyword in your first paragraph. 7- Write a maximum of 52 words, then break the paragraph. Google loves short sentences and paragraphs. It also makes reading a lot easier for your user. 8- Add secondary and semantic keywords. Use SEMRush to find keywords related to your target keyword and leverage a tool like LSIGraph to find semantic keywords to add into your post.
9- Structure your headers correctly.
Your main post headers should be H2s and include your target keyword or variations of your target
keyword. For subsections, make those H3s and number them.
10- Strategically place internal links.Add links to related blog articles near the beginning and end
of your posts. This will improve the chances readers will interact with more of your content.
11- Break text with visuals. Here is a FREE TOOL for stock images
Avoid writing a long block of text. Every 100 to 150 words must have a visual to break the content.

BUILD BACKLINKS
Backlinks (also known as “inbound links”, “incoming links” or “one way links”) are links from one web-
site to a page on another website.
Google and other major search engines consider backlinks “votes” for a specific page. A link that
points directly to a webpage on a website is known as a backlink.
Manual link building is the best. Here is a monster guide for you to read on backlinks.
Pro Tip
Try to build at least 30 backlinks to give your content authoritative strength to rank well.
