               Science and Technology
3D Computer Modeling and 3D Printing
This class is designed to introduce the basics of 3-D modeling and the
use of a 3-D printer to bring ideas from the computer screen into the real
world. Aspiring 3-D modelers will learn the basic vocabulary for 3-D
modeling, going from basic shapes to rendered images of their designs.
Students will also learn the step-by-step process of how to 3-D print,
setting up their models, and finally, seeing their models in real life! As this
is an introductory course, no experience necessary! Just be ready to
imagine the possibilities this technology can bring.

NEW! Engineering
Freeways, shopping malls, and homes don’t just appear overnight! It
starts with an idea or concept that leads to a functioning building or road.
Students have the natural curiosity of science, math, technology, and
engineering. This course is designed for students to explore and build on
their curiosity for answers by exploring basic engineering concepts in a
fun, hands-on way. This class encourages teamwork, critical thinking
skills, and communication skills.

MakerSpace
Calling all innovators who want to engage in hands-on activities where
you solve weekly challenges. You will be given a challenge to work on
independently, in a safe distance from other innovators. You will need to
use your creativity, ingenuity, and critical thinking skills. Think outside the
box from materials within the box. Innovators will not be sharing tools,
materials, or supplies but will be sharing ideas, design improvements
and presenting their build all from their own space. This is mainly a
student lead course with directions from the instructor.

Albert Einstein once said that “the important thing is to not stop
questioning” — with curiosity, hard work, and science, students can
explore magnetism, heat, electricity, sound, and light by stepping into the
intricate world of Physics! This course is designed to introduce students
to the basics of Physics through hands-on activities that will help them
better understand this field of matter and energy and how it relates to the
world around them.

This course is designed to allow students to investigate the elements of a
crime scene, analyze critical evidence, conduct purposeful interrogations
and use their inferencing skills to discover a detailed solution to the crime
committed by writing a news article and posting with the logistics of the
crime. Students will be in teams of three, and each member has a
specific job; a forensic scientist, news journalist, and detective. The
teams will be given a case and asked to solve the case. Within their
investigation, the team will have to work together to analyze clues and
evidence and interrogate suspects and witnesses, within the parameters
of the law, then write an informational article that gives the logistics and
the solution to the case that was under investigation.

This is mainly a
student lead course with directions from the instructor.

crime scene, analyze critical evidence, conduct purposeful interrogations
and use their inferencing skills to discover a detailed solution to the crime
committed by writing a news article and posting with the logistics of the
