My tasks include receiving invoices from our suppliers and making sure that they are reflected in the company’s books, and supplier reconciliation to make sure that I get a zero variance in both our books and the supplier’s books. The internship allowed me to explore real-life application of the career path I want to take in the future. It also allowed me to develop certain skills that helped me to adapt and co-exist with professionals in a corporate environment. SANDILE NKALA BACHELOR OF COMMERCE - ACCOUNTING I worked as an intern at Bareface, which is one of the biggest modeling and talent agencies in the Middle East. I loved working there because I have a passion and interest for fashion and photography. These past few weeks have helped me to become more confident in my abilities because it is required to work independently. In addition to that, I have never worked with a team as friendly and motivational as the one at Bareface. I am grateful for the opportunity to work there and now to be working at Hunter Foods Dubai. KATE DHAVID ROSKA BACHELOR OF MASS COMMUNICATION - WEB MEDIA AND MARKETING During my internship with Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Centre, I was able to learn more about different start-ups, as well as the various technologies used in Dubai. It allowed me to get a better picture of what the market looks like and how start-ups are launched. This internship allowed me to explore the different skills that I believe are essential to my career, such as market research, event management, photography and other means of communication. MELVIN JEYAKUMAR BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING I worked at Transnational Academic Group – Middle East (TAG-ME) as the social media and communication intern. I used to generate and post content on Curtin Dubai's social media pages. I learnt many skills such as video editing, photo editing, scheduling tweets for future use and much more. Working as an intern has shown me how office life is and to complete tasks in a simple yet effective way. MOHAMMED ISMAIL AMIN PATANI BACHELOR OF COMMERCE - ACCOUNTING I worked as a marketing intern for iWire at GITEX technology week. iWire is Sigfox world’s leading provider of LPWAN connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT).
