Une toute petite seconde A fresh episode in the life of Jacominus, in a new, larger and more ample format to discover... Where will she stop? Rébecca Dautremer has not finished her multi-faceted recounting of the life of her rabbit Jacominus Gainsborough. Following his Rich Hours, then the long-awaited appearance of his fiancée in her Midi Pile, she has chosen to suspend time: so here is everything that is happening around Jacominus in that split second which will dramatically change his destiny, when he takes the terrible tumble on the stairs that will leave him with a gammy leg. As time contracts, the setting broadens. It even assumes a spectacular scale. In a fol- dout measuring over 2 metres, the artist unfurls a Breughel-like fresco in which en- chanted readers can immerse themselves during their own "rich hours". They will dis- cover 100 delicious vignettes, narrated in a booklet in its own sleeve, at the beginning. The author has in fact imagined what over 100 different characters experienced in that same split second! Strange or joyful moments, funny or serious, all connected to each other and all following on in a butterfly effect from that famous tumble. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rébecca Dautremer was born in 1971. She graduated from the Arts Décoratifs School in Paris. She published several best-selling Picture Books, such as L’Amoureux, Princesses oubliées ou inconnues, Une Bible or recently, Le Bois dormait.
