THE RIVERSIDE MUSEUM AND GLASGOW GREEN CYCLING ROAD RACE AND TIME TRIAL SPECTATOR GUIDE
THE MOMENT is finally here! Welcome to the Glasgow 2018 UEC European
Cycling Championships. As part of this year’s Championships both the Women’s
and Men’s Time Trial - a specialist branch of Road Cycling - will start at the
multi-award winning Riverside Museum, weave their way through the streets
of Glasgow, and head into the stunning Scottish countryside before returning
for an exciting climax in Glasgow Green.
The Women’s and Men’s Road Race will start in Glasgow Green and head to the
west end of the city. Competitors will return to Glasgow Green - where crowds
of supporters will cheer them across the finish line.

Attractions
There is plenty to see and do in the centre
of Glasgow including a visit to the Riverside
Museum, with more than 3,000 objects telling
the story of Glasgow’s rich past. The Glasgow
Science Centre, Clyde Distillery and The SSE
Hydro and the Scottish Event Centre are all in
close proximity to the Riverside Museum, which
sits on the banks of the River Clyde.
Glasgow Green is home to the People’s Palace
and Winter Gardens as well as the Nelson
Monument and the restored Doulton Fountain.
Nearby is the Briggait - the city’s fish market in
medieval times, Trongate 103, the Barrowland
Ballroom and the Citizens Theatre, all of which are
