SMART COMPOSES Summer School on Computational Social and Behavioral Sciences University Pierre and Marie Curie Campus Cordeliers 21, Rue de l’Ecole de Médecine, 75006 Paris
SMART SMART Human/Machine Interactions in the Digital Society - Laboratory of Excellence (Labex), within Idex Sorbonne Universités (SU). - March 2012 - December 2019 - 8 participating laboratories: ISIR, LIP6, LIB, LTCI, L2E, LJLL, STMS, CHART-Lutin - About 100 faculty and researchers. - 6 financed projects, 4 visiting professors, 19 PhDs, 6 Post-docs and 48 Master Interns. SMART performs research on the foundational bases in human machine interactions, in the areas of Robotics, Machine learning, Social computing, Electronics, Neurosciences, Imagery and Mathematical modeling, to facilitate the inclusion of intelligent digital artifacts in our daily life for service and assistance to humans. SMART COMPOSES Summer School on Computational, Social and Behavioral Sciences 2015 aims at providing a multidisciplinary panorama to graduate students and post-docs in computational sciences whom research requires a background in human behavior analysis, modeling and/or synthesis. Human-machine interaction is a complex and challenging area with ramifications in almost every practical domain in the wide areas of services, healthcare or entertainment. It requires basic research in computer sciences, machine perception or robotics for the observation of human behavior and the synthesis of actions and multimodal communication capacities. The courses in COMPOSES are given by a multidisciplinary team of instructors from the areas of social neuroscience, linguistics, psychology, sociology, mathematics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous agents, and signal processing. Participants are introduced to State of the Art knowledge on different facets of Human-Machine interaction and enabled to perform hands-on and practical courses. [1]
Tracks: - Sensing Human Behaviors - Computational models for social interactions - Evaluation of social interactions (challenges, metrics) - Social interaction patterns at group level - Big data and social networks - Computer science and sociology - Ethics, protocols and case studies. [2]
