IDPH COVID 19 TESTING SITES 102 W. Water St. Waukegan, IL Arlington International Racecourse, 2000 W Euclid Ave Arlington Heights, IL Both sites open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Testing is free and open to all regardless of symptoms. • A phone number and name are required in order to receive testing results. • Photo identification and proof of insurance are helpful, but not required. • High demand for testing may result in long wait times. • Person being tested must be seated at a functioning window. • Once in line at the site, you will not be permitted to exit your car. • All sites will also accommodate walk-up individuals. • Only viral testing is provided at the mobile testing site. • Testing results are provided over the phone in 4-7 days. Fox Lake District Library 255 E Grand Ave, Fox Lake, IL 60020 (847) 587-0198 Grab 'n Go Services are now available at the Fox Lake District Library. Below are the current guidelines, hours, and offerings at this time. SAFETY FIRST Here’s what we require of anyone coming into the library: • We are limited to 30 patrons in the building. Library visits will be limited to one hour within your appointment window. Please make an appointment to reserve a spot by calling us at (847) 587-0198. • All patrons age 2 and up should wear a face mask. If you are unable to wear a face mask, we can provide service through curbside pickup or homebound delivery. • All patrons must observe 6 ft. social distancing guidelines -- please follow the signage throughout the library. • We have removed seating throughout the building to discourage lingering or gathering. • Reusable bags will not be permitted. Paper grocery bags will be available. • If you are accompanying minors 13 and younger, they must remain with you at all times. • We have hand sanitizer stations throughout the library. • And, of course, if you have any COVID-19-related symptoms, please stay home. GRAB 'N GO HOURS (by appointment only) • Monday, Wednesday, Friday o Grab 'n Go: 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. • Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday o Grab 'n Go: 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. • Sunday Closed WHAT WE WILL OFFER • Public computers – The number of available computers has been reduced for social distancing. Computers will need to be reserved in advance and sessions will be limited to 45 minutes. You will be able to reserve a computer when making an appointment to visit the library. There will be limited computer assistance available. • Printing, copying, faxing, and scanning – please have exact change or small bills. Staff cannot make change. Credit cards are not accepted for printing, copying,
and faxing. Printing & copying are $.10 a page for b&w pages & $.50 for color. Faxing is $1.00 a page. • Grab ‘n go browsing and checking out of items. Books, Music CDs, DVDs, Blu- Rays, Board Books, and Audiobooks are available for browsing and checking out. Magazines are available for check out by placing a hold. • Interlibrary Loan Services • Return items to drive up book return on the north side of the building; no inside returns are allowed. • Curbside pickup of items requested will continue but with new hours (see above) • Programs, storytimes, and book discussions will continue virtually (see our online Events Calendar). • Library card registration at Checkout Desk (bring a photo ID). If you got a temporary library card while we were closed, come in with your photo ID to get a new physical card. WHAT'S NOT YET AVAILABLE Services: • Inside returns - Return items to drive up book return on the north side of the building; no inside returns are allowed. • On-site programs • Donations - Absolutely no donations are being accepted at this time. Please make an appointment by calling 847-587-0198. • After each appointment session, staff throroughly cleans their assigned areas prior to the start of the next session. • Drinking fountains taken out of service. • Acrylic stands have been added to all public service desks. • Staff are required to wear face coverings while in the library. • All returned items are subject to a 5 day quarantine period before being checked in and placed back on the shelves. Therefore the quarantined items will remain on your account until the quarantine period is over. You will not receive any fines
associated with the quarantine. Please contact the Circulation Desk with any questions. GENERAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS • How do I make an appointment to visit the library? What about a computer? o Please call us at 847-587-0198. You will be able to reserve a computer when you make your library visit appointment. • Can I place a hold on items over the phone? o Yes. Call us at 847-587-0198 or fill out this form. You can also message us on social media or place items on hold through our catalog using your library card number and PIN. • How do I return library items? o Please return your library items in the drive up book returns on the north side of the building. Do not return items to staff members at curbside pickup or inside the building. • Do I need a library card to use curbside pickup and make a library visit appointment? o Yes, you must have a Fox Lake District Library card in order to place holds and to make an appointment to visit the building. However, you will not need the physical card to pick up your holds. All items will be checked out to you before you pick them up. If you live in our district and don’t have a card, you can apply here for a temporary card to use until you can come in to pick up a new, physical card. If you have lost your Fox Lake District card, please contact the Circulation Desk. • What if I don’t have a mobile phone? How can I let you know I’m in the curbside pickup area? o If you do not have a mobile phone to alert us that you are at the library to pick up your items, please notify us ahead of time via a landline call or via email, and we will make special arrangements for your pickup. • What if I miss or have to change my pickup time? o If you miss or have to change your pick-up time, call 847-587-0198, to reschedule. Items that have been scheduled and are not picked up will be cancelled after 3 days. Please do not come to pick up materials without a scheduled/confirmed time slot. • What if it is raining or we have bad weather? o We will do our best to provide pickup service in any weather. Should dangerous weather conditions arise, we will suspend services until it is safe. We will contact patrons as soon as possible to avoid complications. • Are library items safe to use? o All Fox Lake District Library materials will be quarantined before they are checked in and made available to others for checkout. We are following the guidelines set forth by our library system, Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS). However, no industry organizations can make any
medical/scientific safety guarantees regarding library materials. It will be up to the individual patron to determine their comfort level using library materials. • What are you doing to protect the safety of patrons and staff? o See our quarantine guidelines in the answer above, plus the library is providing staff with PPE (personal protective equipment). The library will continue to follow the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and Lake County Health Department guidelines. DIGITAL SERVICES AVAILABLE WITH YOUR LIBRARY CARD Did you know you can access our Digital Databases 24/7 from the comfort of your home using your computer, tablet or smart phone? You'll need a Fox Lake District Library library card number to download e-content and to use most of our e-services. Our Digital Databases include eBooks, music, audiobooks, movies & TV, magazines, learning opportunities, curated research materials, local & family history, and much more. VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING We're offering virtual programs, storytimes and tutorials. Check out our calendar of events here. Some of our virtual programs require an email address when registering. State of Illinois Department of Human Services PANDEMIC EBT (P-EBT) SNAP BENEFITS Need Help Buying Food for Your School Age Children? Apply for P-EBT SNAP Benefts. This is a special beneft that can help you buy food for your school age children 3 to 17 years old and 18 to 22 years old (in high school), who would receive National School Lunch Program free or reduced-priced meals when schools are in session. Already Receiving SNAP? If you currently receive SNAP benefts, you DO NOT need to apply for P-EBT benefts. You are automatically eligible to receive these benefts. Your additional P-EBT benefts will be loaded into your Illinois LINK EBT account along with your regular SNAP benefts. How Much Will My Family Receive? The beneft amount is a daily meal cost for the number of school days in the month for each eligible child in your home. For March, there were 10 school closure days. For April, there were 22 school closure days. March and April P-EBT benefts will be combined into one issuance for a total of $182.40 per eligible child in your home. Benefts WILL BE ISSUED through the end of the school year. But My Family is Not Receiving SNAP Benefts Is This Beneft Based on Household Income/Resources/Citizenship? No, the only eligibility factor is that your child(ren) attend a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program and are eligible to receive free or reduced-priced meals when they are in school. For many schools, individual students qualify for free or reduced-price eligible meals. For other schools that participate in the in the Community Eligibility Provision(CEP), all enrolled students will qualify as meals are provided at no cost to the students. If you recently applied for free or reduced-price meals, P-EBT benefts will begin the month you become eligible. The head of the household of these students currently not receiving SNAP benefts will need to apply and be approved for P-EBT benefts. How Do I Apply for P-EBT? These instructions are for you to follow if you are not already receiving regular SNAP benefts. • The most efficient way to apply is online at ABE.illinois.gov. Identity Theft Scam Alert Did you receive a debit card from the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) in the mail, but you did not file for IDES benefits? It’s very likely a scam! The Fox Lake Police Department and the surrounding communities have recently taken several reports of Identity Theft regarding individuals who did not apply for unemployment through the state, but received benefit claim information. If you receive a letter and/or debit card from IDES without filing, residents are encouraged to: - DO NOT use the card or call the number and provide personal information. - Monitor your credit. - Report to IDES under Reporting Unemployment Insurance.
