1 - Second Announcement Message Dear Deaf Associations and Deaf Youth Associations/Sections, Time has flown by very quickly since our First Announcement. We are pleased to announce that we have been working hard to ensure the camp is successful and has huge influence on the camp participants by bringing together four special presenters from different countries around the world. We aim to achieve this through our theme "Unlock a new world with Sign Language Rights ". The objective of this camp, an event occurring every four years, is to instill in young people a positive and open-minded attitude towards equality and to not exclude minorities. In addition to that, we will also provide them with the tools to recognise their status within the Deaf Community and to appreciate how diverse it is and how they can engage in it. This can be done in various ways such as engaging in workshops, utilising social media and networking. This, then will open doors to various communities within the Deaf Community, such as the student community (with access to higher education) and linguistic, cultural and identity minorities. Potential youth participants who wish to participate to apply should contact their Youth Ordinary Member association directly. We will only accept communications directly from individuals/Deaf Associations/Deaf Youth Associations/Sections. The registration deadline is Wednesday, May 15, 2019. We strongly encourage all eligible countries to start promoting and select their own representatives soon as possible to ensure enough notice is being given for the participants to fundraise and seek sponsorship to cover their expenses. We are accepting four participants from each country to join the Camp. If you require any more information or have any questions, please do contact us anytime. We look forward to receiving applications by May 15, 2019. Warm regards, Jennifer MARCUS Chair of COC WFDYS 2019 2 - General Data Protection Regulation

8 – How to Support Us? The 7th WFDYS Youth Camp will be held from the 14th to 20th July 2019 in Paris, France. We are so excited about the opportunity to include and inspire young people. Why should you donate? Deaf young people from developing countries have very limited opportunities to participate in events on an international level due to the remote location of their countries and lack of exposure and financial constraints. We hope that these young people will come to the camp, then go back home with lifetime friendships and an extensive network that they can utilize in their future endeavors to strengthen their deaf communities at home. In order to ensure their attendance, we are seeking financial support for these young people to attend the camp. There are a few different levels of support. Any support is welcomed and greatly appreciated. How to support them by being a SPONSOR of the WFDYS Youth Camp 2019? 1) Individual donation: Donate 1€, 10€, 20€ or more via the website: https:// www. wfdy scamp201 9.org 2) Association don ation without being a spon sor: Donate 1€, 10€, 20€ or more via the donation link on the website https:// www. wf dy scamp20 19.org 3) Become a sponsor: Our sponsorship package includes the option to display your logo onsite and get huge visibility!
