    Season behind the Mask

B    asketball is an exhausting sport
     in the best of conditions, but
imagine repeatedly running fast
breaks, sticking to your man in
full court defense, or jostling for
rebound position with a mask pulled
tight over your nose and mouth.

That’s the reality for high school
basketball players this season, as
a stipulation for being allowed to
have a season during the Covid-19
pandemic. During practices and
games, all the players, coaches and
officials will be masked.

The MBBN asked four coaches
about their impressions of playing
masked after one week of practice.
