Sail through the Aquarium Adventure Exhibit at your own pace! Engage your students
with your own curriculum or use ours. Self-guided activity packets are available upon request.

Guided Adventures
Journey through the Aquarium Adventure Exhibit at a steadier pace with the assistance of
an Interpretive Naturalist. This undersea expert will guide your exploration, providing extensive
information on the creatures and habitats you encounter along the way. By piloting your trip with
your very own captain of education, your group will get the most out of our exhibit, with the
least amount of work by you!

Behind-the-Scenes Tours
Designed for advanced junior high and high school science groups, this guided tour emphasizes
your students,
water quality, animal husbandry, exhibit maintenance and aquarium careers. Walk through animal
holding areas to experience new sights, sounds and smells!

engage your students. Some programs involve interactive lab projects and live animals.

Can’t come to us? We’ll come to you! All of the Classroom Programs at the Downtown Aquarium
can travel to your school. We offer classroom and auditorium-style presentations.

Please let us know your needs in advance. The Downtown Aquarium’s understanding
educators can modify programs to fit most requests.
HISD Title 1 schools are able to get free admission for their students to the Aquarium
Adventure Exhibit during Special Seasonal Pricing. Monday through Friday
in September, October, November, January & February.
