Sebastian Szczepaniak BSc Ubiquitous Computing Senior Scholarship Poland I was thrilled to win a Senior Scholarship through sitting the Entrance Scholarship exams. Not only did this mean receiving £1,200 for each year of my studies, it also gave me an unconditional offer, which was the icing on the cake. It really helped to take the pressure off revising for exams and the worry of achieving a place at Aberystwyth. The money will certainly help towards my living expenses here and alleviate the burden of my parents supporting me. I would recommend that anyone try for a Scholarship as having financial help is great, and it also gives you a sense of pride in achieving such an award. I had to work hard to learn English terminology in order to take the exam, but it was definitely worth it. My family were extremely happy with my achievement. If I hadn’t won the Scholarship, I would have attended a university in Poland, but I believe that achieving a degree here at Aberystwyth will provide me with more opportunities.
