Conclusioni • L’infiammazione sistemica è considerata uno dei meccanismi patogenetici fondamentali per lo sviluppo di sarcopenia • La relazione tra biomarcatori circolanti di infiammazione e presenza/insorgenza di sarcopenia è ancora incerta • Diversi nutrienti con effetto antiinfiammatorio sembrano avere un effetto protettivo sulla sarcopenia e/o su forza e massa muscolare • Sono necessari tuttavia più RCT per poter definire il reale meccanismo protettivo
