Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Fees must be paid in full when registering. The Recreation Department may cancel classes or adjust schedules when necessary. Registration In-Person or by Mail: Only cash or check (made out to Commissioner of Finance) is accepted. Registration Online: Payments must be made at time of registration via credit / debit card. There is convenience fee applied to all transactions. Scholarships: Limited scholarships available. Contact Recreservations@saratoga-springs.org to apply. Program Refund Policy: If the Recreation Department cancels a class; a program refund, credit or make up class will be offered. All other refund requests must come directly to the Recreation Office in writing at least 5 days prior to the program start date. Refunds are subject to the approval of the Director and a $10 processing fee. Exception: Camp Saradac refund request must be made prior to May 1st. No refunds will be provided afterwards. pg. 3

Programs Early Registration Begins Jan17 Soccer General Information Early Registration: 1/17- 3/27 Dates: 4/22-6/17 (Sat 5/6 is moved to Sun 5/7, no 5/27, 5/29) Location: Saratoga Casino Fields, 29 Nelson Ave, Saratoga Springs Need: Water, sneakers/cleats, shin guards, ** No jewelry or watches** Coordinator: Brandon Butts, Coordinator Little Kickers is a Parent/Child introductory program that teaches basic soccer fundamentals Little Kickers through games and activities. Basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and shooting will all be Ages: 3-5 covered. Players participate in small games the second half of the program. Time: Sat 9:00-9:45am Big Kickers has teams and coaches. Teams will practice skills for the first half of the session and Rec Soccer League play games the other half. Big Kickers *Little and Big Kickers play 1 time per week on the weekend. All other divisions play once during the Grade: K week and once on the weekend. Time: Sat 10:00-11:00am Grades: 1-2 The Rec League is separated into grade appropriate divisions to expose players to skills based Time: Mon 5:30-6:30pm on level of play. Divisions are COED and they play once during the week and once on the Sat 11:15am-12:15pm weekend. Divisions and schedules may change depending on registrations. Grades: 3-4 Our Adult Soccer play is very informal, keeping with the REC format. While informal, FIFA laws Time: Tues 5:30-6:45pm shall generally apply. No refs, official score or standings are kept. Games will be two 45 min Sat 9-10:15am or 11:00am- 12:15pm halves. The format is pick up style with new teams made each week. Our Spring Volleyball program is geared towards youth who wish to learn Willie has a wonderful way with the rules and skills required to be a successful volleyball player and to kids and love of the sport, making move into team play. volleyball one of the Rec Dept's most popular programs. This clinic will cover the necessary beginner fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting, and base running. This is a very introductory class on the basics of baseball so coaches will cover the locations of the field, basic rules, and proper equipment and safety protocols. Tiny T-Ball - Parent / Child Ages: 3-4 Our Jr. Sluggers baseball program is geared towards the player with some Time: Thur 4:00-4:30pm previous baseball or T-ball experience. Marcy Fiet is a certified instructor in Barre, Balletone, Mat Pilates, and Pumped Up Strength and has been a group fitness instructor since 2018. Her focus is wellness promotion and illness prevention through mindfulness, movement, and nutrition. Rebecca Weyrauch has been active in the fitness industry for over 20 years. She is a Certified Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, Certified Mad Dogg Athletics Spinning Instructor, Certified Level One Kettlebell Coach and is a TRX Qualified Trainer. Balletone Balletone is a cardio and strength program that combines dance, pilates, and fitness moves. This class is open to everyone 18 years and over at all levels of fitness. In partnership with Beta Community Programs and C.R.E.A.T.E Community Studios, the Recreation Department will offer a variety of art , education, and specialty classes this spring! Introducing Robin Ambrosino.... Robin Ambrosino is a Master Gardener, grower, forager, arranger, and lifelong plant enthusiast. Gatherings began as a hobby that has morphed into her part-time joy job. Throughout the growing season, she hosts an honor-system flower stand at the end of her driveway on Daniels Road and offers bi-weekly bouquet subscriptions to individuals and local businesses. Johnson Recreation Center, 15 Vanderbilt Ave Anna Knapp is an urban beekeeper in Saratoga Fees: City $45 / Non-City $65 Springs. She enjoys working with kids and adults to help expand knowledge and appreciation of Ages: All ages (under 12 must have an adult) honey bees. Anna is currently enrolled in Date: March 29, 2023 Cornell University’s Master Beekeeper Program. Time: 6-7:30 pm Have you ever considered keeping honey bees but don’t know where to begin? Early spring is a great time to learn the basics of beekeeping and prepare for your first hive. This 90-minute session with local beekeeper, Anna Knapp, is geared towards beginners and those curious about what beekeeping entails. Future classes covering practical beekeeping may be offered based on interest. Highlights of the class include: Considerations and benefits of beekeeping, Setting up your bee yard, Where to obtain bees, Costs of beekeeping, Mentorship and resources. Born in Mexico City, Pilar Mittler moved to Saratoga Springs in 2020 with her husband and two children. While her degree is in Business Administration, she has a strong passion for her rich heritage and culture and is currently teaching Spanish at the elementary level in Saratoga Springs.
