Rome International School’s extracurricular activities are scheduled to begin
on Monday 28 September 2020 and end on Friday 11 June 2021. The
activities will follow the term dates and school closure, as indicated in the
school calendar, available at this link. For more information on school
policies including health and safety guidelines, please download our
reopening guide for September 2020.
POINTS TO NOTE:
1) As part of Covid-19 safety measures, there are temporary limitations on
contact sports such as Football, Self-defence and Basketball, which are
suspended until further notice.
2) Activities have temporarily been reorganised to follow existing learning
groups until we are able to operate a fully operational programme.
3) The deadline for registration is Friday 25th September and clubs begin on
Monday 28th September.
4) The cost for each club is annual and non-refundable. Fees must be paid in
full by 25th September.
5) From 21st to 25th September it will be possible for students to participate in
trial lessons after-school. Parents must book their child’s place in advance of
21st September. Students attending trial lessons will be accompanied to the
activities by a member of staff and parents can pick-up their child after the
lesson ends.
6) Please note: Codemotion trial days will run only from 15th September to
17th September.
7) Classes will generally run from 15:30 until 18:00. A late bus will be available
on Monday and Thursday for students - over 7 years of age –who attend
after school clubs.
8) A minimum of six (6) participants must register in each club or it will be
cancelled. There are also maximum numbers of enrolment for each club.
9) Children who are disruptive and uncooperative will receive a warning from
the teacher and if this behaviour continues, they will be asked to discontinue
the course.
10) If a student is not able to attend a scheduled private music lesson, the
teacher must be informed at least 24 hours in advance. Should this absence
not be communicated, the missed lesson will be deducted from the total
number of lessons purchased.
11) A medical certificate for sport activities is required for students who above 11
years of age.
