Event Programme Rome 2018 Annual Tanker Event 19-22 June 2018 Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel and Spa Rome, Italy
1 A warm welcome to Rome for INTERTANKO’s 2018 Annual Tanker Event The INTERTANKO Annual Tanker Event brings together the leaders of the tanker-owning community as well as key stakeholders and partners, making the occasion uniquely representative of the wider tanker industry. This year, INTERTANKO is again joined by OCIMF which has chosen to organise its Europe/Africa Regional Marine Forum back- to-back with our Annual Event. The two Associations continue to collaborate for the continuous improvement of our industry. While the event promises to be an important gathering for business networking and peer-to-peer exchange, it also provides the perfect opportunity for participants to unwind and catch up with old friends and make new acquaintances. Nestled in the exclusive Parioli district, the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa is nothing short of an elegant and refined oasis in Rome. Just a short walk from Via Veneto, the venue is an urban resort in a city steeped in history, art and culture. Visit the awe-inspiring Colosseum, or stop by the iconic Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, where the first coin you throw into the fountain is said to guarantee your return to Rome. And what is a trip to Rome without a visit to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica and Vatican City? If you would like help with arranging excursions or visiting the attractions in Rome, please do not hesitate to approach INTERTANKO’s Adele Robinson, Alex Hardman or Janet Daly at the registration desk. We wish all our participants a fruitful event and a wonderful stay in Rome.
