UNITED STATES
• Restrictions, service opening and closures in the U.S. vary by state and sometimes even by
county. There are no national policies in place that are the same throughout the country. The
CDC (Centres for Disease Control) has announced that fully vaccinated people in the U.S. can
resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by
federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business
and workplace guidance. Masks are still required for local mass transportation and flights. Eve-
ry air traveller entering the United States needs a negative Covid-19 test result. Passengers are
required to get a viral test within three days before their flight to the US departs and to provide
documentation of their lab results or documentation of having recovered from Covid-19.
• California – As of June 15, California is back in business. That means hotels, restaurants, win-
eries, shopping centres, theme parks, museums, and countless other attractions can open their
doors without state-mandated capacity restrictions or physical distancing markers. Visitors are
still strongly encouraged to check with individual attractions and destinations for any special-
ized protocols and guidelines, but the default travel message is a big one: “You are good to
go”. California still encourages visitors and residents to get vaccinated and, in line with CDC
regulations, wear face coverings in congested environments.
• New York – On June 15, almost all pandemic restrictions were lifted in New York state
(including New York City) as 70% of New Yorkers 18 or older had received the first dose of
their Covid-19 vaccination series. Safety guidelines for restaurants and other businesses are
now optional. The state's restrictions remain in effect for large-scale indoor event venues, de-
fined as indoor places that hold more than 5,000 attendees. Mask requirements are still in ef-
fect for the unvaccinated. New York officials still recommend quarantine for all travelers who
are not fully vaccinated or have not recovered from Covid-19 during the previous three
months. Testing three to five days after arriving in New York is also recommended for these
travelers.
• The U.S./Canadian border remains closed for all non-essential travel and has been extended
through 21 July 2021 as Canada works to get a higher percentage of Canadians fully vaccinat-
ed. Essential cross-border workers such as health care professionals, airline crews and truck
drivers will still be permitted to cross. That said, Canada will be lifting most international travel
restrictions for Canadians, permanent residents, and certain foreign nationals who are fully
vaccinated, allowing those eligible to travel to do so with more ease, starting in early July.
Please check for additional updates on Canadian travel websites.
• Airlines – International and domestic airlines are operating on increased schedules. Specific
international flight to certain countries are now available for fully vaccinated passengers only.
All travelers are still required to wear a face-covering with no vents and that fully covers their
nose and mouth.
UNITED STATES
Face coverings must be worn during the entire flight and in the airport. Upon arrival, travelers
must follow local quarantine guidelines or vaccination requirements. Travelers from the follow-
ing countries are currently prohibited from entry to the United States with exceptions of U.S.
citizens, foreign national parents, siblings of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.
▪ China.
▪ Iran.
▪ European Schengen area (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland,
France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxem-
bourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Swit-
zerland, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City)
In most cases travelers must show proof of a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of their
flight arrival.
• Most hotels are open with COVID restrictions in place with limited occupancy and safety pro-
tocols based on CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommendations and local regulations.
Procedures across hotel brands have included the production of branded signage stating the
new safety precautions in place, promoting social distancing and are offering hand sanitizing
stations positioned throughout public areas. Many front-desk areas also have partitions in
place to provide a physical barrier between guests and staff and many hotels are requiring
face masks for both staff and guests in public areas. All the brands have increased the frequen-
cy in which they clean high-touch areas in public spaces and enhanced cleaning and disinfect-
ing of rooms. Health and Safety protocols for each hotel chain can be found on their website.
• Most Tourist Attractions have reopened with reservation requirements and in a few cases lim-
it capacity based on state and county regulations. Restrictions continued to be lifted and
COVID cases are reduced in many cities. G2 Travel is compiling a list for all commonly used
attractions, by city, that will be made available once completed.
• Restaurants are open in most states for outdoor dining or pick-up/take-out only. Many more
States now have indoor dining with reduced or full capacity. As COVID cases fluctuate re-
strictions will be updated. In most areas seating is limited to 6 people per table with a maxi-
mum of 2 households. A minimum of 6 feet (2 meters) distance is required betweentables and
masks must be worn when not seated in most states. In most States bars, dance clubs, enter-
tainment venues, breweries and wineries are now open, some with limited capacity or outdoor
service only, however these restrictions are currently being lifted based on CDC guidelines in
most states.
• National Parks - Most restrictions have been lifted based on decreased Covid incidence rates
of the state where the National Park is located. Meaning that right now coaches can enter
freely in most parks, but the restrictions can return, when cases rise. Some parks have now im-
plemented. Restrictions “by coach operator” whereby a given day max. 3 coaches of any given
coach company can be in the park on a given day. The situation will be monitored carefully
UNITED STATES
and sorted out at operations stage. The previous advisement of quoting load factors for full
and 50% occupancy will remain in place, so that clients have the option in case one of the
planned NPs has restrictions in place at time of planned travel.
• Vaccinations – The U.S. has approved both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines which require
two doses. In addition, the Johnson and Johnson vaccine has also been approved which re-
quires a single dose. Less than six months after the U.S. began distributing coronavirus vac-
cines, the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention announced Friday that half of the
country's population has received at least one dose. More than 166.4 million residents, or
50.1% of the U.S. population, have received one shot so far. There are over 132 million Ameri-
cans that are fully vaccinated, according to CDC data.
• Coaches Safety Measures – There are no laws or rules that mandate social distancing on the
coach, however, G2 Travel will adhere to the following minimum policies:
▪ All transportation companies must comply with state and local government guidelines, G2
Travel will keep clients informed about applicable policies for each trip.
▪ Transportation company must ensure that driver is in good health before each service.

symptoms of the flu, cough or fever). The driver will deny boarding to those guests and they
will be referred to G2 Customer Care for further assistance.
▪ Guests are encouraged to keep 6 feet (2 meters) social distancing between all other custom-
ers during the trip. G2 Travel encourages all clients to operate tours without seat rotation and
at load factors that allow distancing between people from different households.
▪ Hand sanitiser dispensers are required to be available for all customers at the entrance of the
vehicle including the restroom, where applicable.
▪ The driver will clean the vehicle daily according to the enhanced cleaning and sanitizing pro-
tocol, concentrating on high touch areas including but not limited to restrooms, armrests, seat
belts, handrails, ventilation controls, overhead storage bins and interior windows. Sanitizing
can be done via the commonly recognized methods, such as fogging, spraying disinfectants,
UV light, etc.
▪ The driver is responsible for keeping constant airflow inside the vehicle to ensure maximum
fresh air for guests and must replace air filters with great frequency.
▪ It is mandatory for the front row directly behind the driver to be kept empty during any ser-
vice.
▪ Boarding motor coaches will start from back to front and disembarkation will start from front
to back.
