We invite you to join us for the 11th Annual Seirenkai International Martial Arts Seminar taking place August 1-4, 2019 in historic Andover, MA USA. This event brings together karate, jujitsu and kobudo students, sensei & masters from across the United States, Europe and the Middle East. The International Seirenkai Organization’s annual seminars create a warm and friendly yet traditional environment that accelerates learning while fostering deep friendships and fun. Enrich your martial arts journey and catapult your progress in Karate and Jujitsu at this year’s seminar!

The 2019 seminar will emphasize balance between “the artistic and realistic facets of traditional Budo.” This duality will be explored through all aspects of training such as: • Formal throws vs. Nage Waza in Self-Defense • Collaborative Yakusoku Kumite vs. Jiyu Kumite • Perfection of technical kata vs. fighting kata • Pre-arranged bunkai vs. unrehearsed application • Katame Waza drills vs. Ground-Fighting • Kobudo Kata vs. Weapons Sparring • Promotional requirements vs. Tokui Waza • Disarming “by the number” vs. “the real deal” • Dojo self-defense vs. surprise multiple attacks • Becoming a martial artist vs. becoming a Sensei • Formulating your personal Budo Journey All participants will have the opportunity to train in both small and large groups, with all the Seirenkai Masters, and with each Seirenkai martial art.

These fees cover the seminar cost. They do not include
sleeping accommodations , breakfast or lunch but do
• Check-in starts Thursday, 8/1 at 5pm include everything else that comes with the seminar.
• First class: Thursday, 8/1 at 7pm
• Last class: Saturday, 8/3 at 2pm Special seminar hotel rates for Doubletree Hotel
• Bonus Social Event: 8/4 afternoon Guests do include a full buffet breakfast each day.
