FY2015
Daifuku’s Jet Surfing Sortation System, known as the AS-30 sliding shoe sortation
system was localized in North America. Assembled in the Daifuku Intralogistics North
America Works facility in Hobart, IN., it is the first Daifuku product to be localized in
North America.
The Reynoldsburg manufacturing facility remodels and expands working space and
capabilities in the office to keep up with the rapidly increasing automotive side of the
business.
A new inverted three rail conveyor is introduced for small to medium part handling.
The Mobile Inspection Table (MIT) AGC for airport baggage handling is introduced. The
MIT improves efficiency of baggage hand inspection while reducing the officers lifting
strain of manually moving baggage weighing up to 120 pounds.
Daifuku Invests $75-Million in Material Handling Systems Research and Development.
FY2016
The construction of the new North American headquarters in Novi, MI is announced.
Daifuku North America certified by Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency as Veteran-
Friendly Employer.
The intralogistics group commences Amazon resident maintenance operations.
Contec Americas joins Dell OEM Partner Program. Dell OEM partners are selected based
on their resources and capabilities dedicated to helping OEM customers bring products
to market efficiently.
FY2017
The new intralogistics Innovation Center in Bolingbrook, IL opens to showcase the vast
array of material handling solutions and equipment as well as for testing and design
purposes. The facility brings together a multitude of Wynright/Daifuku/Webb materials
handling technologies and solutions under one roof.
The automotive group helps Honda increase output at its Swindon, UK automotive
manufacturing plant by 30%.
Contec Americas opens a new Chicago sales office and joins the Control System
Integrators Association (CSIA) in response to its growth in the U.S. industrial market. The
newly remodeled facility features a product showroom, conference space, private offices
and an engineering lab.
FY2018
Jervis Webb was awarded a contract to be part of the largest AGV Program from
USPS which includes 4,000 AGV’s. The order is a combination of pallet jack and
tugger vehicles.
A new Resident System Support program is launched by the intralogistics group
to better assist its client base with maintenance and support issues. The program
dedicates its own employees within their clients facilities to maintain and support their
client’s system.
The automotive group develops and installs a bogey trolley in a GM paint shop.
Contec Americas relocates its U.S. headquarters to a manufacturing and integration
facility in Melbourne, Florida, nearly doubling its production capacity. The facility
features factory automation, proprietary production control and traceability systems. A
visitor showroom displays market-specific custom solutions.
FY2019
The Daifuku Intralogistics North America Works in Hobart, IN. is opened. Expanding its
U.S. manufacturing capabilities with a new 300,400 square foot manufacturing facility.
The largest single automotive materials handling order is received from Fiat-Chrysler.
The intralogistics group installs its first Daifuku Shuttle in North America. Daifuku’s
Shuttle Rack M is a fast, high throughput vehicle-type AS/RS designed to provide dense
storage and is ideal for load sequencing.
Jervis B. Webb Company celebrates its 100th Anniversary.
The automotive group receives ISO 45001 Certification, registering it as a company that
puts the utmost importance on the Health and Safety of its workers.
The airport group completes record 11 new airport resident maintenance launches in a
single year.
Contec Americas expands its U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities with new, modular
clean room for display integration.
FY2020
The largest single airport project from Port of Seattle for their phase 2 project is received.
Daifuku’s updated sliding shoe sortation system is localized in the U.S. The updated AS-35
sortation system provides increased rate, improved divert technology and enhanced
noise reduction.
Daifuku’s Goods-to-Person fulfillment station is localized by the intralogistics group. The
newly developed system is assembled in its Arlington, TX manufacturing facility.
A new Innovation and Training center is opened in Novi, MI.
The automotive group absorbs Webb Canada, Webb UK, and ForgePro, expanding its scope
to a more global scale for the automotive industry.
A new cleanroom manufacturing, testing and development center opens in Oregon.
Contec Americas launches an e-commerce website for U.S. customers, making it even easier
to do business.
