VNA WHY USE LOAD-PULL? ► Small signal, 50 Ω S-parameters provide information about linear response of the device under test (DUT) ► RF/Microwave transistors exhibit non-linear behavior: harmonic generation frequency mixing, etc. ► Transistor performance is highly dependent on its load impedance ► Load-pull enables characterization of the non- linear DUT behavior under large-signal excitations and non-50 Ω load impedances ► DUT performance can be measured as a function of source and load impedance 9 Rohde & Schwarz 9/10/2020 Power Amplifier Test
What Is Load-Pull?
